[Resolved]  ABN AMRO Freedom Credit Card — Info Not Provided!!

I am a customer for ABN AMRO freedom credit card and i have that card for like last 3 years ...recently i had one of the worst customer service experiences as on my freedom credit card there is one of the offers that if i buy a cell phone on that card i can convert that amount into 3 months easy interest free installments, which i did and i bought a fone by swiping my card...but before i swiping my card i called customer services TWICE to confirm that weather that particular 3 months easy installments scheme is on or not and is there any other service tax or educational tax or VAT for conversion of that amount in 3 interest freee installments and BOTH THE TIMES i got the same reply that yes there is no such charge ...advisor said once you swipe your card for purchase of the handset, , , after 2 days give a call and convert the amount and the needful will be done...i was very specific to this as i had some previous issues as well with my card...out of sudden after i called 2 days after the purchase to convert the amount to customer services and the advisor tells me that there would be a charge for 150 rupees as service tax, i objected why was it not told to me before the purcase while i called twice to confirm the same thing and i was not kept in the loop ...advsor hided the info about this and they charges me the service tax...i want to complain about is that y the advisor, i would say both the customer serice advisors dint informed me about that when i asked because i did that transcaction as per that scheme with no charge which i was charged ...lately...its not about 150 rupees AS ITS NOTHING TO ME but i feel shamed by such customer service and supervisor at customer services who are rude and the way they speak is absolutely threatening...the supervisor call shahzad says that do wat ever you want but the charges would not be waived off so i feel pity as after being paying all my bills always on time what i get in return is this!!

To whomso ever this concerns please look in to this as its cheating customer s without giving them proper info and further it leads to frauds from companies!!

SUPERVISOR CALLED SHAHZAD WHO WAS A BIT RUDE, NOTHING PERSONAL AGAINTS HIM BUT THE AFDVISOR WHO DIONT GAVE ME INFO, I THINK THEY SHOULD NOT BE SPARED, AT AAB AMRO CUTOMER SERVICES.

ABN AMRO Freedom Credit Card — AMOUNT DEBITED WITHOUT ANY UTILIZATION OF CREDIT CARD

IN MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER [protected] BILL FOR THE PERIOD FROM 18.02.2008 TO 17.03.2008 AN AMOUNT OF RS 4000/- PLUS 494.40 SERVICE TAX HAVE BEEN DEBITED ON ACCOUNT OF PREMIER CLUB & SUPREME EXPERIENCE OFFER ON 27.02.2008, I REQUESTED ON TELEPHONIC CUSTOMER CARE CELL OF ABN AMRO CREDIT CARD CELL FOR WEAVE OF THE NON-UTILIZED AMOUNT. A DOCKET NUMBER FOR THIS COMPLAIN WAS GIVEN TO ME 2207 AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE REQUEST WILL BE SOLICITED WITHIN 7 WORKING DAYS YOU HVE NOT TO PAY ANY AMOUNT AGAINST THIS BILL. I am Credit Card Holder of your Bank and Credit Card # [protected] I liketo draw your attention tht just I have received the bill for June-July 2008 and I found Rs. 4, 000.00 has been billed for the Membership of Premier Club & Supreme Experience Offer. In this connection, I like to mentioned from your call centre forceing me to accept the offer. I told them 1st. you send me details of your offer then only I consider your offer whether I will accept or not. For your information uptil now I do not received any think in writing. Before the offer I have to see what are the Terms & Conditions for this offer. I canot accept your offer blindly. Also I like to mention here as strong complain against you Call Centre that in a day they ring me even 4/5 times which is rediculaous because some time I am driving, I am in the impotant meeting, I am sleeping & taking rest. Please stop this type of distrubing by your Call Centre. If it is going on I have no other way to surrender my Credit Card of ABN-AMRO.

To day I phoned to your Credit Card Department and I talk to Mr. Raj Sing and my complain No. [protected]. After discussion, he suggested me, do not pay Rs. 4, 000.00 if I do not like and he allowed me to pay the balance amounts. Accordingly I am paying balance amounts except Rs. 4, 000.00. This is for your information.

ABN AMRO Freedom Credit Card — False charges against Credit Cards

I have an issue with ABN Amro Bank credit card No.[protected]. Inspite of clearing all my previous dues, I am being falsely debited with Rs 5055.50 for the month of August where in reality I have not used the card in any transactions. The bank has wrongly charged me against a 7 nights 8 days stay in some resort which I have never done. I have called up the customer care (Phone No.[protected] and after holding the line for 14 minutes, their executive called SAMIR addressed my complain stating that I have agreed to bear these charges and avail the offer. But this is not true. Why should I avail such an offer which I dont need? I was happy that my previous dues are cleared, but this new problem is troubling me a lot. I am holding cards of almost six different banks and have never failed a single payment. I have given a wrtten complain against them to the ombudsman and I will see an end to this. This is simply unscrupulous means of getting money from common people and I will not pay this at any cost. Let me see if they can use muscle power or legal measures. I will be prepared for both.

ABN AMRO Freedom Credit Card — CHEATING

This bank gives offers on phone .Even if you dont accept the offer, they add it on the next bill. When you try there customer care, you will never get an access . If you dont pay that amount they will be going on charging you late fine . Its my advise as a responsible citizen of INDIA never ever apply for ABN AMRO credit cards.
do not give my settelment latter after paid 15000 rupees.

ABN AMRO — Credit card Cheating

Please don't ever go near ABN AMRO Credit Card. You may be pestered for life time free card and you may yield after some time. They may ask you n number of documents that other bank don't ask. They may keepon asking the same and say they lost it etc., There will be n number of verification calls. After getting completely bogged down, the card will arrive along with its due share of trouble.

a) For the same due date, I paid 2 credit card payments one for ABN and the other some other, but ABN charged late fee whereas the other one did not. That too I had paid in advance to the due date. I think they purposefully present the cheque late for these charges. After a lot of arguments, they reversed the late fee and not the interest.

b) The holiday package fraud - Some one will call from Delhi. they will purposefully talk so fast that you do not understand. They will ask your date of birth, mother name as verification process. They will beg you that when their supervisor calls, we should not complain about this person. Instead should say he told everything (This is the catch!!). They will say if you tell the supervisor that things are not clear the first man will lose his job. They will literally beg. Please do not yield!!. Then will the charge come in the statement. if you take it up saying you did not opt for that, they will say you gave your mother name and date of birth and that amounts to acceptance (Complete cheating). I actually told them that I did not understand the offer and wanted them to send me a brochure. But they charged me.

I CAME TO KNOW THAT THE BRANCH WAS SHIFTED FROM SECTOR-7, CHD. TO SEC-26, CHD
DUE TO THE REASON I WAS NOT ABLE TO PAY THE AMOUNT IN TIME.
SO THE DISPUTE OF LATE FEE CHARGES WAS OCCUR.

THE REQUEST WAS MADE BY MADE BY ME AND IT WAS COMMITTED THAT THE EXTRA AMOUNT WILL BE WAIVED OFF IN TO THE NEXT STATEMENT BUT AMOUNT WAS NOT WAIVED OFF.

WHENEVER I WENT TO PAY THE AMOUNT TO VANDY SOLUTIONS, COLLECTION, SEC-26, CHD
I CAME TO KNOW THAT THIS BRANCH HAS BEEN CLOSED DUE TO SOME DISPUTE WITH BANK.

I had never pay the amount by any source so that
DUE TO THE REASON, THIS TIME AGAIN, I was not able to pay the amount in time again.
REQUEST WAS MADE BY ME TO THE CUSTOMER CARE AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE REQUEST WILL BE SOLICITED WITHIN 7 WORKING DAYS YOU HAVE NOT TO PAY ANY AMOUNT AGAINST THIS BILL. BUT, IN NEXT BILL THE SAME AMOUNT CARRIED OVER AND DEMANDED TO PAY FROM ME, WHEN I IGNORED, I WAS ASKED TO DEPOSIT THE CURRENT UTILIZED AMOUNT BY CASH AND THE RECOVERY EXECUTIVE WAS SENT.
I immediately paid the same amount whenever the call was made by ur staff.
It was committed by ur staff that the late fee will not be charged.
But in the next statement the late fee was charged and
U are repeating the same again and again ( charges on charges) from the long time back.
I am paying the amount and paid more than Rs. 9000/- but instead of decreasing the amount is increasing. ( it reaches to 21, 800)

I had already paid to the bank amounting more than Rs. 9000/- (on monthly basis) and the transactions made by me are not more than 13000/- ( approx) so only Rs. 4000/ + reasonable rate of interest is pending according to me. But the big outstanding statement for the month of March 2009 (of Rs. 21800/-) has been sent by u. You are creating a lot of mental tension to me.

I am not using the same card from the long time back now due to the above mentioned reason.
Please view the detail of my total transactions made by me and minus the total amount paid my me and add the genuine rate of interest.

You are therefore requested to waive off ALL the extra charges and send me the statement i.e. (transaction amount - paid amount = (Rs. 4000/ approx) + rate of interest ) at my address as soon as much possible so that the amount may please by cleared and the card may be surrendered.

ABN AMRO Freedom Credit Card — Payment related charges

I am using the services of ABN Amro since 5 years. THis is to inform you the services of you guys are phatetic. I am using 5415-xxxx-xxxx-3617 Freedom Card. Every time there are lot of issues with you Guys.

I have submitted my Payment check on[protected] but this has been returned in my HDFC Bank account on 22nd January 2010. I have received the information from ABN AMro Bank side today in the form of e-mail and SMS Alert after the 3 days passed of my Due date. I called customer care to give my new check number of the same amount. He has passed this information that check return charges has been implemented and he forcibly said the words "you have to pay these charges and these charges will not be reversed and late fees will also been apply".

There was another issue which i have. I have been submitted one check in the month of March-09 which was wrongly written in the format of[protected]. At that time i was told this is a post dated check. I have submitted another check for Approx Rs.1700 on that time and i have given the request that the check should be returned to me. At that time Executive said we will not sent check back to card member. I said OK. But this check was submitted without my knowledge on october 3rd 2009. What are the charges for this problem I have all the proofs of this. Required Bank statement i can show to you. Please check all my communication In March 2009 and October 2009.

As a financial Institution, How can you send the check return information to cardmember after 4 days of the things happened. I think Bank always want how can we charge the customer.

I called in customer care on[protected] and wanna speak with Supervisor. Mahes said there is no supervisor available till[protected] morning 10 "o" Clock. What is this bull . Why there is no supervisor available. Why i have been charged for the check return charges when i have not got the information on time. If i have got the information on 23rd or 24th i can transfer the money online but now i won't do this because i have submitted the cheque for the amount of Rs. 200 in Sector 14 ATM, Gurgaon.

If customer has been charged for the check return charges, he should be get some additional payout for those post dated cheques(Which was issued wrongly sue to date formatt)which was not returned to custimer and submitted to bank without customer's information.

Sir,

I came to Chennai in July 2007 and joined one of the software firm in Chennai. Myself is Irafan Mohammad and i had applied for ABN AMRO credit card in 2007. While submitting the application form, i had given a xerox copy of Passport, Company id card and pay slip to one of the executive at our office premices who told that he will apply for the credit card. At that time i was staying at Room no 15, second floor, sri new tulasi shopping complex, Navallur, Chennai.

But till date i had not received my credit card. In Jan'10 or Feb'10 i got a call from Sundar, stating that he is from ABN AMRO bank and i need to pay the credit card bill. I told him that till date i had not received the card and why should i pay the money. After that there was no communication from any body.

And again in 30th Oct'10 i got a call from Sunil - stating that he is from ABN AMRO bank - chennai and i need to clear the credit card bill that too on the same day.

I once again told the same story that i had not received the card and i won't pay the amount. These people are just calling me and telling me that i need to pay the amount, but i am really not aware for that they are asking me for.

I am requesting the concerned authority to look into this matter and resolve this.
