[Resolved]  Apeejay School, Noida — Bad management and poor teacher in primary dept.

I have found Apeejay School, Noida as the worst school ever one can choose for his or her child. In Primary department, there are over 40 students in each class and not even one dedicated helper (maid) to help the teacher. When we find it difficult to handle our one or two kids, how does the school management expect one teacher to manage so many children alone. There is lot of frustration among teachers too and I know few teacher who are planning to quit because of this situation. It is also affecting the children. The teacher is hardly able to pay attention to the class and then the nursey incharge blames the child for being naughty. We have ourself seen teachers reacting very badly to a small mistake of any child. Becasue of no help the teachers are not able to even perform their routine duties. There is no check if the student is in the class or not... the child will be in play ground for hours together and the teacher will never come to know because if it is just impossible for one teacher to keep track of the activities of 40-45 children. The school just wants to take brilliant students. My child is very bright and active in class but we have seen his performance go down since the time he has joined this school. We never had this problem when he went to the play school (Mother's pride) and to see if there was a problem with our child - during summer vacation I even put him in a summer camp and was in constant touch with the teacher to monitor how he is doing in the class. As expected, he was just like any other child in the class... we realised that it was because of lack of attention in the class (Appejay) that he gets distracted which is affecting his performance. The Nursery incharge says there is a problem with our child behaviour and we even consulted a child psychologist to check if there is anything wriong with our child. To our surprise all his test and ratings were normal and even the pyscholigist said that it is lack of personal attention in the school that is giving the child an opportunity to do what ever he wants. I am really regretting making such a bad choice for my child, I just hope the management gets to read this complaint and understand that they have an important role to play in a child's overall development. Just opening a school and winning few tournaments doesn't make the school "GOOD", they should plan to improve the overall qaulity of education and support staff in the school.

The quality of education/ administration / etc is definitely going down since last year or so. the moral and enthusiasm of the teachers is definitely at its lowest in last 6 years that i have known this school. In fact many of the senior teachers have already le ft the school.

I feel the students of senior classes should give respect to the views of the parents of junior students because their comments are based on their experiences now and not of the time when these senior students were in junior section. Of course they got their children admitted to this achool because they heard only good thiungs about the school's past. But past is past.

My request to Hon'ble Shri Stya Paul please do something and something really fast to salvage the reputation of this great institution, as the current management team lead by Sh.Nayyar-Principal is laving no stone unturned to destroy this institution by mindless changes in the exemplary initiatives taken by Sh Hasija and his team (Mrs Bali & Mr. Tiwari). I personally know the teachers are definitely a frustrated lot.

God please save this school.
Thanks.
I agree to this. Even I am not happy with the primary wing.
wtf?!..this is complete and utter rubbish..how many schools in this coiuntry have less than 40 children in each class and how many schools are fully equipped with maids to help teachers handle the children??..whatever uve written is !!..ive been in the school since the past seven years and still am in it and i have no complaints...and who ever you are, you seem to be talking as i[censored]r from the US and are used to getting such treatment...jsut in case u dont know i am from the UK and the teaching system in apeejay in perfect..every single student gets the attention he/she requires!!!
Dont blame teachers, If you want personal attention to your kid, get him few turors and make him sit at home and do the studies privately. In my opinion this school is having fantastic and very experianced pr epprimary staff, look at the age and service length of the teachers. If the teachers were un satisfied that would have lesf the school by now.
In such big institutions problems ar ebound to happen. in managment also. It will be better you keep a tab on ur kid and givev him the supportive enviornment at home also. If the mother at home dont look for the kid and busy with her Kitty parties and fashion shows, your kid cannot get along with teh other children of class. Best of luck
I think the comments made are partly true. Apeejay problems may not be different from other big schools but the kind of reputation Apeejay had earlier, is certainly diminishing. The new schools are coming out with new concepts & teaching approaches. But we don;t see much innovation in the way Apeejay is working. Apeejay still has time to improve in lot of areas, specially primary classes & can regain the prestige it enjoyed earlier. Only slight focus of Principal & Management should be enough.
My daughter has been a student of this school for the last 6 years and I feel that the school has contributed immensely to her overall development. She loves goung to school everyday which itself supports the fact that it is a good school and the teachers are excellent and caring. I believe that you will not find any regular public school in Delhi and NCR where the class strength is lower than 35/ 40.
well i completly disagree with what is written.. apeejay is by far the best school in and around delhi.. i hv done my schooling from apeejay noida and today i know how better and how different i am from the rest of the crowd.. it is undoubtly the best institute.. and as far as comments on the teachers are concerned i am shocked to hear something like this.. the teachers extrmly caring.. even the senior teahcers would know if a student is missing from the class leave alone the primary class teachers who were like mothers to us..
40-45 is a pretty decent size of a class.. i think you should check with other schools (including dps r.k.p. which is considered to be the best in delhi and other reputed schools) you'll find the same number of students in a class if not more..
this school gives a child a perfect environment to grow.. here we have practically learned evry aspect of life.. we were far better prepared to face the outside world than any other school child would be.. we are far more confident and aware.. we are prepared to face anything and evrything and yet come out with flying colours..
today almost my enitre batch is studying in one of the best colleges of the country and we all this to APEEJAY SCHOOL NOIDA AND IT''S TEACHERS..

writing such stuff for such a fantastic school is surely not fair..!!

apeejay rocks..!!

schools/institutions — abnormal behavious of teacher towards students

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW FROM THE EXPERIENCED EDUCATIONISTS/LAWYERS/NGOs/SOCIAL ACTIVISTS IF ANY ACTION CAN BE TAKEN AGAINST A SCHOOL TEACHER WHO POSES AS HIGHLY EXPERIENCED WITH SUPERIORITY COMPLEX OVER OTHERS, WHO INSULT HIS/HER STUDENTS ON ONE PRETEXT OR OTHER, WHO CLAIMS TO BE VERY DECENT IN BEHAVIOUR, WHO PREFER TO INSULT OTHER INSTITUTIONS AND EVEN HIS/HER OWN INSTITUTION.

THOSE WHO CAN GIVE A HELPING HAND , PLEASE CONTACT ME THROUGH THE e-mail

THANKS IN ANTICIPATION
I agree to you in some aspects as due to the increase in number of students per class and age of the childrens (3.5 yrs), teachers are getting irritated and frustated. They expect very obidience behaviour from the small kids and compaint to the parents in case of the child is not listening/behaving properly in the class.

I am not able to understand what are the positive things in this school's Pre Primary Wing that parents are dying to get their child addmitted in the school. One of my friend's chilld was also in Mothers Pride before joining to APJ and used to be the NUMBER ONE in academics and extra curricular activities.. But in APJ he is like a average child with behavioural problem and given as a title of disobidient child and over confidant in the class.
i am stuyding in this school for last 5 years.since the teachers have taken me to perform in function in classes nursery, kg, 1st then 2 and3 they have not taken me even in assembly, in nursery and kg feel better
i dont like this school .i am studying in this school from many years.now i am in sixth .i think that the teachers are very rude and strict to the children .the children also talk rubbish in the school .buses are not properly maintained.teachers hit the children.they are not at all friendly
tanya
first i was wrong this school is very nice
I have no idea
Hey,

I agree with all those who have disagreed to the above complaint. I have studied at the school for 14 years, along with my 3 other siblings and we have had the best years of our lives there. I am still connected to many of my batchmates and they are all doing great.

About the teachers and personal touch, I have accidently met so many teachers while walking around in Noida and other places and they are always delighted to see us. They still recognize their students, who graduated years ago. If this still doesnt explain the personal touch and attention they give to their students, i guess you have unrealistic expectations. If you want your kid to grow up stronger and competitive, I believe the exposure Apeejay provide is just amazing.

Bdw, I also have my niece and nephew in Apeejay right now, and they are growing to be very competitive and sharp, better that their peers in other schools.

Given all of this, I believe the problem really lies somewhere else. Hope you can find it. Good luck!
I totally disagree with the complaint. my child is studying in the school for the past three years and it has been a wonderful experience so far.
my nephu is studing in the apj school noida and he is doing well. the teachers are very fine.
this is completely rubbish!!! i and my sister are studying in this schol from nursery.now iam in 8-F and my sister kanika magan is in in 12-C. In my class there are are 45 students and 7 subject teachers. the teacher always gives her 100% and then it depends on the students that are they also giving their 100 %to the teacher. and if you are talking about winning tournaments, then for your information in acadeamics last years class 10 board exams our school came "2".

Visited to my child school in Apeejay Noida and noticed that school management is least bothered about running a education society but more interested in minting money from the school. They arer just adding burden on teachers by reducing the manpower vis a vis increaseing the children strength per class. They cant even provide 2 teacher and one helper to a class of 50 student...
Forget that... one support teacher is being shared by 4 sections...
Teachers are helpless but can not raise their voice as they are in their job...

School is going to organize annual function in 3 part "section wise" as due to increased strength, they dont have enough space to accommodate the parents.

This is ridiculous...

School is charging a decent fees and despite that they are not providing deserving fecility to these bright future of country... this is just not fair...
One understands the hardships of being a parent when one reaches that stage. So with all due respect to all d students of the school who are currently studying, you will never know what it is to be responsible for a child and his education. Iam myself a passout of apeejay, Noida and am proud of being an Apeejayite...but that was den..Mr arora and mr hasija shaped apeejay...

however, today i regret putting my son in apeejay..my hasija moved on 2 years back and since then the school's education system seems to be only concentrated in grading kids...

Every PTM, the teacher says, you will need to work hard...but where is the school taking accountibility for its students...there are no counsellars available to talk to unline in mity or Kothari schools...

It is sad but Apeejay is slowly going down in a lot of parent's eyes...
It is time the the management wakes up and takes action...

Iam alreay thinking of pulling my son out from this school...
please let me know how is APJ as a school, teachers, studies, etc.
