[Resolved]  Arun Srivastava — Unconcerned Passport Officials & their inefficient working

Our Government shows so much concerned about improving the working & efficiency of officials working in Passport office. But the officials are bent upon creating all sort's of hurdles. The recent system of taking appointment slot is an instance in this regard. Applicant keeps on entering for taking new slot but computer shows "Currently no appointment slots are available for the selected Passport Seva Kendra (PSK). Please try scheduling an appointment from ............................ (date & time) onwards". Days and days are gone by still no slot is given. How has this website been designed which is lacking the basic feature of assured allotment of time to every applicant in first go, be of any date and time. Then the applicant should be asked "whether this time & date suits him, if no, give him 3 more choices further". Why this feature could not be installed ? Was there any ulterior motive behind it, needs to be investigated ?
You cannot talk to any Passport staff whether an officer or a clerk in his office. Guard does'nt allow you to talk to them. If at all you try to talk to them on phone within their premises by taking number from the Guard, Passport officials scold the guard as to why my number has been given to the public. No way to contact the Passport officials for resolving our problems. Outside TCS people are managing the token.
The website does'nt provide complete details so that the applicant comes with full documents in first go. I am working in SGPGIMS, Lucknow.
If at all, I will come across any Passport official landing in PGI for treatment, he will be given the same kind of treatment as we get in Passport Office. he will be allowed to talk to our Guards only and would not be permitted to enter the doctor arena. Passport officials have made the mockery of efficient working.
