[Resolved]  Barclay Credit Card — Misinformation from the executives

Following is the letter I have sent to the bank authorities after their terse reply that charges made by them are correct as per records.
Sir this is regarding the terse reply you have sent me that charges levied are correct according to your records. Under normal circumstances I would have no qualms with the said charges but I need an answer from your organization then why did your executive call me and ask me to make a stop payment on the cheque and issue a new cheque as the format in which I had issued the cheque was not correct. I did so because he assured me that otherwise the money would not br credited to my account and I will be levied extra charges. If that were the case the reversal of cheque should not have showed in my account. If you will check the statement you will find that the new cheque was issued the same day when the stop payment was issued on the previous cheque. So my question is this that what are the inept executives you people hire who do not have any knowledge about the information that they provide to the customers. As you will notice the payment was made for the entire outstanding amount and due to the misinformation I had to pay late fee plus stop payment fee plus the interest on dues. So if you charge me a fine for not meeting my obligation why should there be not a reverse fine levied on you for providing disinformation to the client. I have no qualms about making this payment but I do need answers to my question and I am going to pursue this matter with your bank and take a legal recourse if need be. Thanks
