The amount is supposed to be automatically deducted on due date from my account and I am supposed to receive an receipt. When I found that the company was not taking the premium amount from my account I called the customer care through my agent and customer care confirmed that their system is undergoing repairs and they are unable to process, your premium will be deducted within a few days. Contradictory on 10 March they send a lapsation notice. When I complained they send a reinstatement notice and asked me to pay double the premium amount which is totally illegal. I am waiting for clear 3 days for reply and preparing to file a petition at consumer court pune against Birla Sun life insurance who have proved a baseless and fraudulent insurance company.
