[Resolved]  Carnation — Grievance - Service of Car - Carnation is cheating its customers

Dear Mr. Khattar,

I want to draw your attention towards the quality of the service of my car. On April 12th 2011, I visited the hub of Carnation that is in Sector 5, NOIDA to get my car serviced. I own a Hyundai Santro Xing that has completed 65,000 Kms. So, I thought that Carnation would be a better place to visit since my car required the periodic service that is done when the car completes 60,000 Kms.

Background: -
Mr. Ashish Banga received my car. I told him that my car needs the periodic service that is done when the car completes 60,000 Kms. I also told him about the problems that I was facing. One of the problems was that my car was not running smoothly. He assured me that all the problems will be fixed.

I asked him to use the engine oil - "Castrol Magnatec" since I have been using it since very long. I asked Ashish to specifically mark it on the job card. He assured me that he will use Castrol Magnatec.

The Result: -
1). Carnation DID NOT use Castrol Magnatec but used some other engine oil. Since I have been using Castrol Magnatec since very long, I came to know by the sound of the engine as well as the quality of drive that I experienced that there is some problem and that Carnation has not used Castrol Magnatec. I came to know that Magnatec is not used only when I asked. Ashish said that he has used "Mobil Magnatec". I am surprised that since Magnatec is a patent of Castrol, how can another company use this patent. I asked him about it but he said that "Mobil Magnatec" is a better engine oil than Castrol and that the tie-up of Castrol with Carnation has come to an end. Why did not he told me at the time of receiving the car?

2). The noise of the belts still persists. Even though I specifically mentioned about this, nobody has taken care to fix it. Why?

3). Ashish called me to inform me that the cables of spark plugs need to be changed. I asked him to change the cables in case it is required. When I noticed the cables, the cap of one of the four cables was different from the cap of others. Why is it so? I believe that when a company manufactures a part from a product line, the specifications, design, etc., are absolutely identical to each other. I had to visit the hub once again to get it checked. Ashish said that he is astonished to see this. He reactively got it replaced with another one. Why this was not taken care of at the first instance when all the cables were replaced?

4). The polish was done very casually ONLY on half of the dashboard. The other half was as dirty as it was when I took the car to the hub. Why so casual attitude?

5). The most remarkable thing is about the problem that my car was not running smoothly. I am surprised to see as well as hear from the so called technicians that nothing can be done since they have done everything and have not found any problem. When I got it checked from my mechanic, he easily found that the fuel pump was faulty. He replaced the faulty fuel pump with a new one and my car is now running as smoothly as it used to.

Please take this as my serious grievance since this is not the first time that Carnation has duped me but the second time. Carnation has charged Rs. 7,610/- (Rupees seven thousand six hundred ten) that is not a small amount and that too, for the quality of service that I have got from Carnation that even a roadside mechanic can do in just Rs. 1,000/-.

The attitude of the staff is sick and casual. There is no professionalism at all in the staff. It seems that the staff is sitting just to mint money and not to go the extra mile for the satisfaction of the customer. There is no proactiveness but reactiveness to each and every issue.

I am sorry to say that Carnation has lost its customer and I am confident that Carnation will lose many more customers since if word of mouth marketing can strengthen the customer base, it may also weaken the customer base.

I face a simmilar problem today. my car was serviced yesterday (7th Jan 2012) at Pune, Hadapsar - car number MH 02 AY 6708 and i specifically asked to repair / replace my horn and charging point.

In evening yesterday when i went to collect the car he said he forgot about charging point and horn stopped working today, However on bill i have been charged for a new horn.

I've purchase a car from Carnation gurgaon on 5/02/13 Reg no- DL 2C 2876 (Indica), and i m facing the problems regularly from the time of purchase .

Prob No-01 - At the time of Booking I've paid Excess rs-5000/- by mistake of sales person as he did't adjust the advance amount in the total payment, I've claim for that on the spot but got the same refund after One month,

Prob No-02- At the time of Delivery I've got only the copy of cover note of insurance instead of original cover note and waiting for the original policy Till date and three times I've paid fine to the police persons
now who is responsible for that.

Prob no-03- One of the wheel of the car is over sized and i m regularly asking for that but till date there is no response for the same

One more thing as today is 06.04.13 two months completed after delivery of the car but still i m waiting for the Transferred R.C of the car.

Over all i have a very bad experience with the carnation(gurgaon) and going to suggest the other persons about that

they are useless, .. Never go there.. The have a habit of adding extras on to the cost, changing wrong parts
Worst. This is the only word comes into my mind for Carnation auto (Tathawade). I gave my car for servicing. They promised me to return the car on the same day but as usual they couldnt keep their promise.
They introduced more problems after servicing which were not there before servicing. After the delivery of the car I found there is unbearable noise coming from front brakes. So I returned the car to them to recorrect the same. The supervisor (Mr.Mayur)confirmed me that by mistake the mechanic had kept some setting wrong with the hand break so the noise was coming. After 2-3 hours he again called me and said that break pads and wheel is damaged and were asking me to pay for the same. When I shouted badly for the same, then after sometime he again called and said, that my brake pads were hammered improperly so the problem came, and now they have repaired it.
I had to keep my car thrice to them just to correct simple dicky lock issue, but till date they couldn’t solve it(though they took entire amount from me).
There was no noise of steering before servicing, just after servicing it started. Also my doors are making noise which were fine before servicing.
Their servicing is worst and I recommend that don’t even go to repair cycles to Carnation Auto.
Most Horrible service ever got. They charge more than MRP for parts and labour charges are tremendous. My car was given to carnation Tathawade unit, Pune. They charged Rs 3050 for changing the disc brake pads and rotors in my first service there at carnation and guaranteed me another 40000 km problem free brakes. Just 8 months ahead and 4200km run I started facing grinding noisews while braking. I gave my car again for service but was returned telling it is problem with suspension and not with brakes. Fortunately, I told them not to meddle with suspension and showed my car to another workshop. The rotors and brake pads were in worst condition. Now I changed them and there is no further noise. I don't know what the hell they did after charging Rs 3050 for brake repair?
Beware. They speak vey nicely and make you happy with discount coupons. It is just a trap.

My name is Ajit Pal Singh, I used carnation service 3-4 back for CAR service, seriously disappointed when I visit Maruti Service at Mayapuri Car RPM were up and down stage after only 3 days of service.Next month I again visit carnation sector-63 branch as it nearby my office and there was some minor issues I were faced with my car and carnation advisor told me by changing jumping road and chimta problem get resolved. But post changes I was disappointed only 10% problem was resolved and carnation advisors were told me 90% problem is resolved so I speak to Mr Dhananjay Kumar-unit Head he agreed with my problem and arrange again re-look into the matter. After 2 days completed 90% problem resolved as advisors and unit head committed problem get resolved -on trial I were faced problem but I trusted on their commitment as taken my car back after payments. Yesterday I again visit carnation as because of alignment of tyres and work done by CARNATION technician my car front tyres are damaged and advisor –Ritesh & Aditya told me these are damaged due to some issue in steering and I again trusted on their words as CARNATION IS BIG BRAND and I agreed to change assembly of steering and commitment for car readiness at 2:00 PM today. At 2:00 PM I received call from Aditya and he told me car is ready so I get ready to take my car and visit carnation branch and after test drive I was disappointed CAR as I was facing in the movement of car strering and U Turn etc etc and advisor again and again giving me wrong review and telling me this is due to NEW assembly My qus: If this is because of new assembly of steering Y YOU GUYS SUGGESTED ME TO CHANGE and again I speak to Mr Dhananjay he agreed with me there is problem with skilled workers here so again I am personally relooking into it and I will get it resolved within 30 min.so I came back at office but not received any call from carnation & Mr Dhananjay so at 6:00PM I feel I have to call them as I have to back home. on call Mr Dhananjay told me please give another 30 min, I feel its ok but not received call from him at 6:40 again I called him but he get his number switched off so I again try after 20 min and he speak loudly to me and said I cannot deliver your car as all staff member has gone but I was waiting for CAR.i requested to Mr Dhananjay to confirm tomorrow timelines for issue resolved he said I am not giving any commitment whether it is resolved or not as I have crunch of skilled advisors and technician.


My Point is :
On my first visit why carnation misguide me for changing jumping road and chimta?
Due to replacement of changing jumping road and chimta my front tyres has been damaged.?
Why fake commitment made with me to issue resolved post steering assembly???
If you have not skilled workers and more 20+ service centers are running??
How can fake commitment made by CARNATION????

I have lost my tyres cost of 7K and still I am going with mental harassment since last 2 days. Now I am requesting for claim of tyres cost and return my car as it is-I will get it checked with Maruti Authorized service center.
But I am telling you I was VERY VERY pathetic experience with carnation and I advise all people to donot go with carnation as any cost as they don’t have skilled workers and fake commitment. Awaiting for your positive response otherwise .

I will never visit Carnation again as I'm so disappointed to get my TATA Safari's accidental repair work done at Carnation Noida Sector 5 that I feel so disappointed of my decision. In fact the decision was not taken based on your name or feedback but as my insurance company didn't offer cashless claim on TATA dealership, I had to take this step and come to you as you did offer cashless for accidental repair of my car.

To that, my car's front and door had to be replaced as it was damaged beyond repair. The rear door was to be dented and repainted. I'm so astonished to see the cheap quality output you have delivered at the same quote/price that TATA dealer was to do the same job). It is unbelievable to see that the quality of paint work is so cheap that it has bubbles appearing which shows no proper paint quality used and in adequate rubbing post paintwork. Also it means you don't have a closed/indoor paint facility and the dust in the air deposits with the spray paint work showing a local under the tree type mechanical work output.

You have introduced several additional problems in my car (that you kept in custody for 7 days despite promising 5 days) that I have to take it to TATA dealership and get it repaired. When you fitted the new door, the lock assembly is so loosely fitted that the door does not open from inside. It seems that the only testing your people did is to try open/close the door from outside and no one even tried whether the indoor lock assembly is working or not.

While the door closes, it’s not sending the electronic signal to the central switch that tells all doors are closed so the dashboard light keeps eliminating indicating an open door. As a result, I can’t lock the car using remote as it’s a central locking feature to warn the driver if any door is left open before locking so this electronic fault is preventing me to lock the car.

All the three cabin lights are not working so don’t know if you [censored] the wiring or it’s a fuse issue so will have to get it checked.
Additionally, all undercarpet wiring of my amplifier and woofer are exposed in the cabin making it look ugly so when you opened the two doors, you didn’t care to lay the wiring underneath the plastic covering inside the floor cabin so it shows a task completed in hurry.
