Purchased carrier split ac model 1 ton duracool star on 16th july 2012 from kohinoor televideo pvt. Ltd. (Brand new showroom on andheri link road, opp city mall)
Mr. Amit - attended us gleefully assuring us best services (Probably lip service is what he meant.
The a/c was to be delivered on 18th july as per the commitment and that's when the ordeal of being a customer began...
We had to follow up with kohinoor - with mr. Amit on leave or purposely not attending the calls. So much for his assurance.. The number we called on is[protected].
We were given many assurances of the unit reaching us on 18th and finally it did and that to @ 10.45 pm!!!
Then the installation guy came and announced that this model does not come with any copper piping or cables to connect the indoor unit with the compressor : (It implied that one had to pay for it apart from rs.1500 installation charges which we had to as per mr. Amit of kohinoor.
One just called up kohinoor and made mr. Sallaudin of apex air conditioning - authorised service franchisee of carrier. He got piece of some supervisors mind and finished installation without any word. On the service note he mentioned 12 feet copper tube consumed whereas in reality he mentioned to have consumed 9-10 feet!!! Dunno what this rs.1500 installation charge actually includes as non transparent.
Since monsoons have set in we did not use the unit for 3-4 days.
On using it post the gap, we found ourselves suffocated a bit and put the ceiling fan to use. Next morning we informed kohinoor - a lady responded the phone. She assured something will be done.. After continuous follow ups, a rep came and checked the air-conditioning unit. He concluded that the air conditioner needs to be checked for its thermostat's accuracy and assured us of reverting back the next day being 25th july 2012!!! We still await him. On 25th we had received a confirmation call from kohinoor to check if the technician had come to check the unit and on updating she assured us of the same being attended next day - 26th july 2012...
We are stuck with the new a/c paid in full!!!

Brands charge for the quality and service but do not deliver without pain to the customer... So much for their values in practice.

Do never trust kohinoor stores and more so carrier acs...

It is to inform you that I, Mr.Vikas Joshi, is a resident of AS/119/1810, Teen Kenya Apartment, Block-C, Flat No: G-C, Teghoria Baguiati, Kolkata – 700059. had bought an CARRIER AIR CONDITIONER - ESTRELLA MODEL ( 1.0 ton ) from capital electronics (ultadanga) on 13 /02 / 2010 , but right form the day of purchase has been suffering its deformities and Installation problems due to some internal fault. After several complaints to the authorized Dealers They send some ill skilled Technicians, but still the satisfaction was not gained and the respective problem continued. and my A .C Control Box also Broken by Technicians at servicing time. dated on[protected].We again complained to the dealer but this time he asked us to complain to the CARRIER CUSTOMER CARE , so as per that we complained ( COMPLAIN no. kol0237) at their centre and they told us that the problem will be surely solved by our technicians . By dated on:[protected]. But till now they are not send any technician. Due to unsatisfaction, we again complained to the authorities, COMPLAIN NO. BUT THIS TIME NO ACTION WAS TAKEN. AND WE SUFFERED WITH THE FAULT MACHINE.

After that we complained several times.... But their did not respond to our single complaint

Even after spending a big amount for buying the AIR CONDITIONER our satisfaction was not fulfilled and we felt like somewhat cheated and betrayed.

still they are not listening to our problem

it’s a request that respective action should be taken against CARRIER AIRCONDITIONING & REFRIGERATION LTD. They should be ordered to replace the AC or give our money back with interest.

Hope our complaint gets full hearing.

I would like to draw your attention by the sheer harassment by Carrier. I have been pursuing this case for last 2 months without any action in this regards. It is really pity to have these kind of shameful services by Carrier.

I bought two carrier A/Cs on 13th May 2011. These ACs were bought from AARKAY Engineers, Gurgaon, Invoice No – AE/Sales/2011-12/463. The Models are Estrella Wrac 1.0 Ton.

Both(one after another in the gap of 15 days) of these A/C s started stinking just 2-3 days after buying. I complained with customer helpline, Engineer from Om Engineers came and serviced the A/C.
The smell appeared just after 2 days of servicing. I Again complained 2 more times and some engineer came and serviced again.

visits were made by people of OM engineering ( Vide Receipts no vide 1643 dated 30th may, , 1824 dated 7th June and once didn’t receive a receipt on visit on 23rd may vide complaint no DEL0816).
The A/C s start smelling again.
Next time when I complained they told me this problem is not solvable and I must contact the company directly. I talked to one Sushil ( Mobile number – [protected]) who sent his people onece again to service my Acs.
Despite servicing smell started just within 2 days
This time Mr Sushil told me that he would do Chemical and Hot wash and smell wont resurface after that. 4 people came with Mr Sushil and dismantled Acs and did all kind of wash. They assured me of no Smell this time
With 3 days smell started again.
This time he informed me that he has forwarded my complaint to quality department and my ACs would be changed in all probabilities. 15 days back some people from quality department visited my premises for AC checking and reported that these ACs would be changed.
In all total 7 visits has been made to check /service my ACs but no action . Now Mr Sushil is telling that he has already sent the proposal for replacement of ACs which is pending for approval on the part of one Mr Jain . He informed me that Mr Jain is on leave for a long time hence can’t take action. Once he is back from leave would forward my complaint to someone Mr Vimal Tandon who would finally approve my complaint. The complaints have already taken 2 .5 months to resolve and god knows how much more time would be required to resolve this.
I am aghast, surprised and shocked to see the customer service of Carrier.
