I have received an sms from AT-CFCS-USA, stating that my mobile no. has won an annual mobile draw of 250k USD. Please let me know if its fake or not? And if its fake then file an FIR againts all those who are involved in it. Please response to it ASAP.

Hi Even I got a msg on my mobile that I won 250K US$. Is this true, they need my details - name, age, tel and address to claim the prize. Should I reply!!! Is this true or a scam. I checked out that CFCS is Central Florida Computer Society.
These "Award Notifications" have been linked to the Central Florida Computer Society, Orlando, FL, USA; logo CFCS, of which I am President. We are a 30+ year old non-profit educational Computer User Group. I have NO IDEA who or what "AT-CFCS-USA" is, apparently THEY are the ones sending these notifications; they are in NO WAY involved with the Central Florida Computer Society!
Here are some questions and my replies that should help:
Question:
1. Is CFCS or are Any of the CFCS members/forums/committee are responsible for sending such SMS?
NO!
2. Are these SMS are Fake and CFCS has nothing to do with it?
YES, I would certainly think they are fake. I am ABSOLUTELY SURE CFCS, Orlando is NOT involved!
3.Is the Email-ID mentioned in it valid and does it belong to CFCS/ or any member of CFCS?
NO, it is not valid, and NOT owned by CFCS in Orlando! And, since Live.com is a Microsoft owned and run web site; I am contacting them to see if they can shut this down, at least the [protected]@live.com!
4. Does CFCS conduct Annual Mobile Lucky Draw? (as similar as mentioned above)
NO!
5. If the Message is fake then why CFCS's name is being used to send these fake msg?
Well, since there is no reference to the real CFCS, I can only assume it is a coincidence, and the perpetrators of this fraud just tried to come up with some initials that would sound official, or something!
I cannot offer anything else at this time; hope this is of help.

Even I got the same msg and the prize money mentioned is $250, 000, and mail id given is not of live.com but the generic yahoo id.

i also got the same sms from cfcs.usa, but now after searching in google it's clear that it is totally fake.
I recived a message on 26.3.99 at 3.am stating that my mobile no has won USD 250, 000 in 2009 cfcs Annual mobile draw asked me to sent my age tel no and address to cfcs.[protected]@live.in.please Reply . Is it fake or true.

I got a message on 20th dec 2008 claiming my mobile no. has won 1, 50, 000 gbp in a mobile draw. i had neither applied for such a draw nor had heard this company's name before this. I want to block such unwarrented messages.
