[Resolved] Chennai Corporation — Drainage overflow | |||
I am Yamini Gunasekaran residing in 32, venus colony, second street, velachery, chennai -42. My family settled in this locality 3 years back. Our street have a drainage system that will always overflow, making good place for mosquitoes, flies to multiply, causing so many infections and diseases to spread among the residents. We have complained so many times, but nothing happened positive yet. Since the areas in our locality only have mud roads, with this drainage water spread across, makes these roads really unfit to commute. Our residents need to buy lorry water from Metro water, Velachery to meet our daily chores, but with this drainage overflow over mud roads causing the lorries to get blocked , made the Metro water ppl reluctant to supply water.... With this condition we ppl are struggling to live there. I request the Chennai corporation to take some immediate action to avail us with good roads and properly laid drainage system, which makes our locality a better place to live... Drainage broken at Anna pillai street (near IIIrd lane) opposite to Corporation Workshop Gate.
Please note : This drainage problem we are facing for the past 2 months.
The School childrens are facing problems while passing the particular location.
We kindly request to take steps for rectify the current problem.

There are 20 Familes ( including New Born Baby & Many Children) living in Panduragan Colony Pilliyar Koil St, Vadapalani, Zone 10 Division 130 . Our Street Fully Covered With Drawinage Water The street Man Holes are Over Flowing, In one house Drainage water Overflowing and mixed with well water The well water used by them for Drinking & cooking The street full of Mosquitoes Bad smell. The Street Light are not Burning We are suffering for the past 7 Days Kindly help us
I submit this complain in front of 3rd West Street kamaraja Nagar thiruvanmaiyur members we are facing drainage overflow problem for past 3 days. The water from the drainage stays stagnant on the road. Thus leading to produce huge mosquitoes to stay on it. This will lead us to infection. Opposite to my home drainage pipe has broken and dirty water is coming out from health corporation office. Made many complaints but no use. Children are very much affected. This may leads to dengue malaria and many viral diseases. Children are in summer holidays and they doesnt aware of that dirty water and started playing in that. Kindly help.
