From CNN Spokesperson in India: The SMS is a scam run by some unscrupulous operators who try to extract sums of money from unsuspecting people. Trade Names of various companies have been used in similar SMS. A complaint with the Police has been filed in the past for the use of the CNN brand, and we can confirm that such use is not authorized by CNN, or any of its affiliates. We would caution members of the public from responding to such SMS.
