[Resolved]  Deccan Furniture — Sofa

Last year January (2009) i bought a 3+2 sofa from Chromepet Deccan furniture. There was no price reduction, with the statement, our products are the best and we provide you 5 years warranty and free repairs as required.

Within 2 months of purchase, the Foam of the 3 seater gave up and sunk in and the wooden piece in the bottom was felt. After the complaint call, the company took its own sweat time to come and fetch the furniture for repairs.

The repaired 3 seater was returned in approximately 2 weeks.

Then within next 3 months the same repair recurred. After multiple tries through phone and almost 2 months, i was able to reach the company through phone and they registered a complaint. But never came back to fetch the furniture for repair.

Then the phone numbers given in the bills changed.So another few months passed.

Due to the cushion giving away and the fabric not able to withstand the pressure gave away near the stitches. At last with some help from just dial, found the numbers and called up Deccan furniture again. They said they would send people immediately.

But nobody turned up for 1 month. then i had to visit the show room directly and re-complain. Then after almost a month they came to fetch the furniture for repair, but claimed 1300 rupees for fabric repair.

I told them clearly that i have been trying to contact them but ended up in faiure. But the reason for the fabric tear is the foam giving away, which the repair person did not accept. I told him to carry the repairs and i shall talk to the company.

After 1 month, i got a call from DC stating that the same fabric is not available and i have to wait. I waited, now its 2 months and they call again and say they can match a fabric that is 70% closer to the original.

I felt too bad and asked them to change all the 3+2 sofa's fabric, but the company asks for 300 rupees per meter.

I want DC to act immediately and repair my sofa and re-assure me the quality.

What they committed and what is happening are totally opposite.
I would not recommend anyone to purchase from DC again if they are not doing justice to me.

Don't buy product in deccan furniture its utter waste of money.i bought one product from deccan it's quality is very poor and i am frustrated because of that.please don't waste your money and time there my kind advice to everyone
Bought a Dinning Table for approx 50K from Deccan Iyyapanthangal. within 2 months we observed that white powder coming out of few chairs, the paints coating is falling from many chairs. given complaint at out let. they have taken the phone number address also received the pictures of damages in watApp, its almost 2 months over now, they have not addressed the issues .i am tired of calling them again and again. no luck the staffs at showroom are lier, they dont respect the people and dont follow their words. keep on lie every time . Especially the person name Venkat. dont believe in his words . i am searching for the Deccan owner contact details . if any one knows please do let me know . if dont reach the owner. last option is file consumer complaints against this outlet
