[Resolved] Passport Office Chandigarh — Delay in urgently required PCC | |
Dear Sir, Passport File No. R019031 PCC Request No. CHDR01903109 I renewed my passport in Tatkal scheme. Policde inquiry did not happen that time. My "Work Permit" for Spain has got approved, to get my Visa stamped, I need PCC from Passport Office. I went to Chandigarh personally on 22nd July'09 and submitted request for PCC along with fee Rs. 300 and my original passport. The person sitting on the counter informed me that, since I go t my passport reissued in Tatkal scheme, I have to get Police Verification done before PCC can be issued. It is 9th August today and there is no clue of any progress. I need PCC urgently because within one month of my Work Permit approval I have to submit PCC. I went to local Police Station and SP office, they informed me that, there was no Police Verification received from chandigarh yet. Need your KIND and URGENT help in this matter, so that, I can get my PCC in time and I can travel ASAP. Regards, Adarsh Was this information helpful? | |

Infact same thing happened to me that no verification took place when applied to add my spouse name in PP. And I again sent my PP on 29th of june 09 for PCC purpose, I came to know that verification was not done at that moment. Then verification(which had to be done earlier) took place in july & its been around one month the status is still showing"THE POLICE REPORT HAS NOT BEEN RECIEVED" I have very less time or around 3 weeks left with me for Newzealand.
Not sure when it will come from CID office to chandigarh office for PCC & my PCC will be done,
Plz help if anyone can?

Thank GOD my case has been resolved.
I had to visited the CHD PP office personally with some references & got my PP despatched from the scrap lot.
Actually when my verification report was sent from local SP office to CHD PP office, the wrong PCC file no. was put by mistake or don't know why. And the PP office employees threw it in the miscellaneous lot because some unmatched info which ultimately would have been gone in to scrap after an year or so.
They don't even bother to take responsibility of their work. Its our need not their.They are totally lazy & careless.
Would like to suggest you all to visit personally if your case has not been resolved because they people are not going to touch that scrap lot & will ultimately send it in to burning logs.
