DLF Tech Park - Worst Tech Park with Worst Practices

DLF tech park at Chennai, Porur has the worst and most insane so-called "security" practices around. They demand for original ID proofs ONLY from visitors to grant visitor pass and do not accept photocopies or duplicates. On the other hand, they also do not have any process in place to keep your IDs safe. All visitors original documents are put in a tray and the customers were asked to pick from the lot, even without verification of their name.

Also, they employ security personnel from North India, who can hardly understand regional language Tamil or English and can only understand hindi or regional language from North India and atrociously behave with the visitors who come for interview and official discussions.

They also go to the point of locking vehicles alleging that they were parked in the No-Parking area, where there will no be sign board cautioning the same. None of the security personnel can communicate in regional language and often mislead visitors and many of them end up parking in a wrong place, and have to spend at least 30 minutes to 1 hour to identify the in-charge and explain the situation.

The "ticket slip" on the locked vehicles would read "Your vehicle has been locked due to being parked in the wrong parking area. Please contact Admin and explain the reason to unlock your vehicle" Give me a break, it is insanely hard for someone to identify the admin in a 5-lakh IT park with lot of entry restrictions. For anything, you will be asked to contact your host to send emails to the admin, who are basically security guards who can hardly read or write English. Funny, is'nt it

If this continues to be the practice, for sure this will drive away lot of motivated employees and interviewees and business associates who visit the IT Park. Ironically, this IT park has some of the most renowned companies in the world who are known for their best industry practices as far as work culture and employee management go; however, it is hard to understand why this culture was not deployed and/or implemented just outside their workplace.

I hope someone from the DLF management reads this, and take appropriate steps regarding this issue.
