Dear sir,
I request the education authorities to please introduce Philosophy as a subject in schools only then it would attain the apt certitude and become a popular choice among students just as subjects like mathematics,economics,literature and others.We have all the subjects in schools but philosophy.Being a student of philosophy I have seen the immense potential that this subject has.Its high time that the school education system in India realise the potential and importance of ethics,logic,critical thinking which are nothing but branches of Philosophy and there are many more branches which cant be mentioned in this precise paragraph,as philosophy in its scope and study is vast.Its an irony that its considered as a dead subject by almost everyone when students of philosophy become counsellors,teachers,lecturers,civil servants,writers,social activists,human resource executives.I say it with utter grief that even today school students are completely unaware of what philosophy is and what wonders it can do to the lives of people,and those who take this subject still hesitate to disclose that they are studying philosophy.I am requesting the concerned authorities to please introduce this subject in schools for a brighter future of the country ,to bring novelty in the minds of the young.Please its my earnest request to the concerned authorities to look into the matter and take needful actions.
