[Resolved]  Electricity Bill Of DHBVN — Error in Meter Reading and wrong billing

Sir,

This is to bring into your kind notice that from the last 8 months I am running to DHBVN Jawahar Colony office due to wrong reading given on the bills and consumed Units are more than our average units.
I already gave a application on 11th July 2008 to correct the reading of Meter No ED-1318 on your bills and hence DHBVN Staff visited to our residence and checked the reading and meter and found it Ok and send the actual reading to the office.
And when I received the next bill of Aug'08, there was same mistake in that. DHBVN staff only carried forward the reading as it is in computer record and send me the bill of Rs. 7334/- for which then I went to Mrs. Champa Devi of Branch office and get it corrected from her and paid Rs. 2621/- as corrected by her on the bill
Again after that our next bill of Oct'08 in which the same Meter reading problem was there. In this bill DHBVN Reader took the reading from our house which is also noted down on our Meter card but in Bill the new reading was missing there and shown L(House locked) . For this also again I visited Branch office and requested S.D.O. to please give instructions to correct my meter reading in the Computer records but again Mrs Champa Devi corrected manually and asked me to pay Rs.1400/- which I paid.
And then one of DHBVN staff advised me that if you want it corrected next time then you have to give your new reading personally to our office on 2nd Dec'2008. And on 08th Dec'2008, I personally given the new reading of 10041 to Mrs Champa Devi.
But regret to say that even after so much exercise done by me, The Deptt. is still making errors and now the Meter bill of Dec, 08 was send with the error in Old Meter Reading which they took back of August'08. And it is surprised to see that my Bill amount is of -2347/-.(in -ve figure), which means I already paid access amount to the DHBVN.
When I showed my this bill and earlier bills to Mrs Champa Devi, she took all the bills from me and asked me to come next day. And now in last 15 days, I visited the Office 5 times to get the correction done and at last she given me the bill after correction and asked me to pay Rs. 2579/-.

It was surprised to me that how they calculating this figures. And when I asked her, She forwarded my status to Mr. lakhan Singh and even when He also didn't satisfied me at all, He forwarded my request to S.D.O. and S.D.O. asked me to come on next day because that Mrs Champa Devi is not in Office.

Now after my two rounds to S.D.O. Office and S.D.O. checked my bills and asked me that it is Ok and you have to pay the corrected amount. But according to my meter reading still it is not clear to me. When I asked to go through my meter reading and calculate the unit, he refused and advised me if still you have problem then go to Consume Court or any where else.

I am giving below herewith my few last bills statement.

Here in Jun'08 the New reading at that time was 9375, which I got corrected and paid the amount of Jun08 & Aug'08 upto my new unit of 9512. Next time in Oct'08 they sent me the bill by showing the new reading L (means house locked), where I already mentioned above the Reader took the reading from our house( i.e. of 9802) but not shown in the bill, so I got corrected the same and paid the amount of Rs.1400/-. But now in Dec'08 month again they start calculated from the same old reading of Oct'08 and new reading of 10041 and the bill amount is of -2347/-.

So I request you to please forward my request to check all the previous readings and payments done by me.

light bill — wrong meter reading

SUBJECT:complain against wrong meter reading,payment updation and bill n bill not given on time.
dear sir/madam,
this is with reference to the above complain of wrong or fast meter reading,payment not being updated,high bill and bill not given on time every month, i have your people coming to my door step threatening to disconnect the meter even though i make the payment.moreover every month i have come to your office to get the bill reduce as there is less consumption of electricity but you guys are sending an exhibitioner bill
previously your staff sajid shaikh had told and assured us that this matter will be solved but it is still not done.every month your people come to my door step and threaten to remove the meter.
i have to show them the bill every time.moreover everyone gets the bill except me 2 times.i had to come to your head office to get the bill as your people put my bill in someone else boxes.
it is frustrating to keep coming to your office every month and bring insulted by your people for something that i am not responsible or rather say you are responsible for.
i have all the CD for the mess create by your people.if this matter is not resolved i am left with no option but to file an fir and a complaint with times of India for the trouble i am going through every time.i cant keep running to your office each month as i have a son who is only 4 month and is quiet weak.
please resolve this matter asap.
