Once i have gone to this college for giving my Btech project presentation and for this event they have invited big corporates for analyzing our project demonstration. We all were excited as the college management said that we have the chances of getting placed, if we present the project very well.
I have done my best and finally i got a call from ESCI, stating us to come and collect the participation certificates. When we made our presence at college, the admission counsellors has taken me to a room and demonstrated the DOCUMENTARY of ESCI.
We were stimulated by seeing that video and we were called into principal room and then he tells about the greatness of ESCI for 45 minutes. He says that the big corporates by seeing your presentation were impressed and they are ready to offer you the job. Then he immediately advices us to join this course which has better job prospects.
Hence he convinces us to join in their PGDM course pricing 4 Lakh Rupees. They show the companies Visiting Cards and Company Names written on boards and challenges that all the things are excellent in the college. As per their guidance i was told to write the MAT examination for getting eligibility for this college. And finally i was about to pay the DD of Rs.10,000/- for reserving the seat
By good heavens I met few of the old students, then came to know about the actual realities of college. This college is like Solitary kid belonging to the family of Institution of Engineers and Engineering Staff College of India. No one cares about the wellbeing of the college. PGDM School does not have placement association with any companies. It’s their fortune if they get any job. It seems that not even a single company has visited the campus for placements
They always project that they have a good relationship with Gadgill- {CEO of L&T} and other corporate professionals, which is nowhere beneficial for placements. These companies are not willing to accept the students who have done Infrastructure management. The course Infrastructure Management is an admixture of and curses.
They don’t know even which profile the students will be suitable in Industry.
They don’t even have faculty to complete the syllabus. Industry is not ready to accept the course, as it is not properly defined. Even after doing PGDM, they are forcing the students to join at the post of an Btech job/Marketing Executive at 12k per month? This is ridiculous. They didn’t even concern about the students who are not placed and they are in a spree of making admissions. They are least bothered about students life. In any of its previous batches, the college has not placed more than 3 to 4 students that too with an norm package of 2 lakhs per annum.
Inorder to fillup their empty buildings, they have leased their campus to some another PGDM college. By which they indicate that they have more than 200 students. To realness, ESCI-PGDM college strength has never been more than 17 students for every batch.
I was barely about to get into their trap, by God’s grace I was saved.
