I had received the policy bond on 11th Feb 2012 and the same day I had approached Future Generalli Life Insurance Co. Ltd. for cancellation of policy bond under ‘freelook clause’.
Since, it was a Saturday, the branch executive refused to entertain my request.
Also he suggested that he will call me on Monday, 13th Feb’11 or an executive may visit me to log my request. Which never happened.
13th Feb’12 There was no call or visit as mentioned earlier.
I almost call for 4-5 time during the week yet to my utter surprise there was no response from your branch.
This left me frustrated that there is no one in your system to work on your own promises.
I am not sure if your company can settle someone’s claim even or not. Such a disgusting fact!
25th Feb’12 I again called Gurgaon Branch to pursue my Grievance that why have they not entertained ‘request to Cancel’ my Policy under “Free Look” clause.
Possibly, founding this a serious consciousness they logged my Complaint under customer service no.[protected]. I placed a request for the Duplicate Copy of Bond.
This was on advice from Gurgaon Branch to ask for a fresh bond and then place a request for Cancellation under “Free Look” clause.
1st Mar’12 To follow my message that my request made on 25th Feb’12 is processed I called the nearest Gurgaon Branch for the Copy of the Bond. Add to another inconvenience that Bond copy is yet not received with them.
2nd Mar’12 Customer Care came out with funny resolution that they cannot issue an another bond as the same was issued earlier on 8th Feb’11.
So, why have they absorbed my request on 25th Feb’12. Just to make a fool of customers or what?
3rd Mar’12 Again while calling Gurgaon branch they asked me to procure an FIR against the loss of Bond to process my request for cancellation under “Free Look” clause.
Why are resolution coming in installments than In one go.
4th Mar’12 I got the FIR as suggested by Branch and reinstated my demand to cancel the policy under “Free Look” Clause.
6th Mar’12 Gurgaon Branch got a sense to log the request under service #[protected].
This happened after a rigorous calls of 3-4 times.
13th Mar’12 Adding to entire harassment I again got a resolution that the request is “repudiated” under your understanding that it has crossed a time of 15 days.
16th Mar'12 I have sent the mail with all the details to [protected]@futuregenerali.in and he logged the another request under service # [protected].
9th Apr’12 Adding to entire harassment I again got a resolution that the request is “repudiated” under your understanding that it has crossed a time of 15 days
Kindly note, that the delay has happened at the end of the insurer as the information on actionables required was shared in installment with a considerable time lag..
If I were informed in the first place to provide an FIR for policy cancellation, it could have been done within the stipulated grace period.
I would like to reiterate that I WANT THE POLICY BOND CANCELLED AND MY MONEY TO BE REFUNDED BACK WITHOUT ANY FURTHER DELAY.

I have applied for free look cancellation in this companybut the company not giving my money refund
i want to cancel my policy because after getting the policy documents
i disagree with the conditions
but company gives the reason that if you have signed the all documents by you it means you are satisfied with conditions, then we can not cancel your policy.
please do the needful for this.
i do not want to continue this policy
and please tell me rules & regulations of free look period
