Please to inform you that I work for HCL Technologies Ltd. as an Associate consultant.
I joined HCL on 12 Nov 2007 through campus hiring. At the time of joining company I have signed all the the joining and employee gurantee form. At the time of recession HR told me to resign due to worst market condition. I refused to do so, but HR told me that if you will not resign we will not give you any clearance and reliving letters.
When i resign from HCL on Sep 10 2009. My HR told me that 12 OCT 2009 is your last working day in HCL. after serving the notice period. Finally I got the reliving letter on 12 Oct 2009.
After 4 months I got a call from one of the person from HCL that you need to pay Rs 1,39,000 for Service Bond adherence. I trying to contact to the HR but they tod me that You will have to pay the amount.

Then on 28 March 2010. I got the Notice by the Lawyer. He wote that you need to pay Rs 1,39,000. within 21 days.

I want to ask :
If i have signed the bond why dont the HR inform me.
If any thing is legal why they give me the reliving certificate.
