[Resolved]  House Purchase — Cheated by the owner of the flat which was up for sale.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am haplees person and don't know which way to go. Last month we bought a flat which was up for sale through a geniune broker. We liked the flat and paid the token money for the flat through a cheque. There was no pre-condition while buying the flat. The cheque was deposited by the D'souza family in a weeks time. We went ahead with the loan formalities immediately because they wanted the payment by 31st March 2010. Mr. D'souza the ower also helped us with the legal doucments of the flat which were required by the loan department. We wanted to get the MOU signed as the earliest but somehow Mrs.D'souza kept on delaying the matter. That's when we understood that Mrs. D'souza has suddenly changed her decision to sell the falt. The reason for this is based on lies and their is no truth in their explanation at all.The broker seems to be a genuine person also belives that they are lying through their nose. My brother disinvested many of his investmnets for the payment of this flat. We have been cheated by the D'souza family and need assistance in this matter.
We are not interested to just get our token money back but we want to go ahead with this purchase of the flat. Kindly help us from such cheaters who think that they can get away with this kind of approach. We want someone from the media to talk to them and intervene in this matter as they think it is ok to back-off. Need urgent assistance on this.
