Hushbabies.com — An order placed gets cancelled stating stocks not available after 10 days

I placed the above order with HushBabies on 20th February 2013 and I received #1 & #6 already. The other products are pending to be sent (#9 is a free product though).


For the rest of the products I sent them a remainder mail last week and their response was (28th February 2013): Dear Srikanth G Suman, Thank you for writing in. With reference to your mail, We wish to inform you that your order is currently in process and the remaining items will be dispatched as soon as possible. We expect the order to be dispatched within 1-2 working days. You will be receiving an separate email with the shipment tracking details. We apologies for the delay and inconvenience caused.


After waiting for 2 days I received another mail from them stating: Dear Srikanth Suman Garishakurthi , This email is in reference to your order number # {[protected]} with Hushbabies placed on {20/02/2013}. We wish to inform you that your order will be cancelled, as we currently do not have the ordered product on our inventory. We will issue a gift voucher, for the amount paid against the product which would reflect in your Hushbabies account in working hours. Kindly, also accept a voucher worth Rs.250.00 off on a purchase of Rs.750.00, as an "Apology coupon". We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and looking forward for your continued patronage.


The fact matter was, I made two purchases on the same day for Rs.1662 & Rs.482. On 20th & 21st February 2013 there were many offers and one of them was shop for Rs.1999 and get a gift voucher worth Rs.1000. I requested them to consider both my orders put together for this offer as both the purchases were made on the same day. Initially they didn't agree and then on March 1st I received a mail that they will consider my request and issue me the Gift Voucher. So, to avoid issuing the Gift Voucher they cancelled my order. Even the voucher that they issued with cancellation of my order (Apology coupon) is useful only if I spend Rs.750 again. In this whole mess, I am in loss of time, money (discount & free product which they committed to give me), peace of mind. Now if I place an order for the same list of products with any vendor, again it will take me another 4-5 business days to receive. HushBabies people are the best manipulators and cheaters.
