[Resolved]  Ignou — Not evaluating Term End Exam (Answer Scripts) correctly --- Specifically MCA

Hi All,

I would like to bring to everybody's notice that IGNOU standard's is falling in recent days. To be more specific the one which is troubling more is that they are not even evaluating the term end examination (Answer Scripts) correctly. I would like to say that students are getting unexpected results. Students who are expecting highest marks would have either failed or would get just passing marks and people who were suppose to fail would have passed.

This kind of problems is being faced by almost every IGNOU (MCA) student, please take a look at the link provided below from one of the IGNOU forum where MCA students of IGNOU are discussing about the same problem which I am talking about.

Link: [http://www.santanu.in/forums/?showtopic=9212]

Students get just 40 or 50 marks required to pass, even though they deserve more. There are many cases where students get 40 or 50 marks continuously in 10 to 12 subjects Students who are expecting more than 90 marks also will get 40 or 50 marks surprisingly. How can this be possible? students who are expecting good marks would have failed due to negligence of the university. That too in this Term End Exam (Jun 2011) results where out within a MONTH. The above scenario explains how the IGNOU results are out so SOON. But please think can a student who have secured LESS MARKS DUE TO EVALUATOR NEGLIGANCE can ever get good percentage.

Moreover they also have increased the examination FEES and they have also raised the reevaluation fees to Rs.500 every SUBJECT are they doing this for the MONEY which they can earn through reevaluations? My sincere request to all the students of IGNOU please raise your voice against this.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO REQUEST TO THE PEOPLE IN IGNOU ADMINISTRATION TO TAKE MEASURES TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

Thanking You,

Aggrieved.

plz plz plz koi to batao main kya karun??
i COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU. I am a student of IGNOU. I have just received my result for the TEE exams for MCA(1st semester). I had pinned very high hopes on the C exam because all the questions were from the IGNOU book and I had studied quite well. I even mugged up programs from balaguruswamy. Now, I have flunked in this paper in which I was expecting the highest score of all the subjects. I can claim that I am better than the person who scored the highest in this exam under your university. I worked on my C BASICS like no one else and could even write my own programs by now like how to convert a hexadecimal number to a decimal number and all kinds of programs related to files.

I heard all sorts of nonsense about the university that they flunk students just to increase their number of years. The marking policy is not apt. I believed that this was only true for those people who dont study because of their jobs. I was in the house for almost 2 months as I quit my job at the end of March putting up almost 7-8 hours per day. I studied this subject with a great interest because it is the building block to my career as a programmer. When I knew all the programs in the paper and wrote them correctly, why was I FLUNKED. You can still ask me any program from the paper whether its about matrix addition, putting up an array of numbers or malloc. The worst part is that I even did the program related to array of numbers in the practical correctly. The palindrome program in the paper was one of my favorite ones, and yet I have been flunked in the paper.

I wanted to become a programmer and take my career ahead. I mugged, understood and studied the books of this university because of my interest to pursue this degree and learn about computers. Now, with this great unsuccess in the first paper, I am totally discouraged and feeling whether I possess the aptitude to be a programmer. I have not slept properly and feel like committing suicide.
Ignou does not understand how much harrasment a student has to face in companies and in society when they are declared failure by this university. Everyday, they listen to and abusive language in their houses and companies when they cant earn the right packages as per their degrees. People face sleepless nights for the rest of their lives. Some of them even end their lives, why because someone just does not have the patience to check a paper.
There are so many women who enroll themselves in this university so that they can get respect from in-laws with a high paying job but they cant because of lack of a degree due to IGNOU. Why is IGNOU MAKING the lives of so many people a hell.
ignou ke kutton, tumhe narak mein bhi jagah naa mile
ye to bilkul 100% nhi 200% sach hai. ye apne paise bnane k liye students ki mehnat ko bekar karte hai. yhi hal rha to ek din aisa hoga jeb ignou wale makkhi marenge or koi addmission nhi hoga.
100% i agree to this.. IGNOU has the worst evaluation.. i am doing my MEG 1st year.. result has been anounced on 11August.. I cannot forget the date becoz i was so eagerly waiting for the results of the exams i wrote soooo well and i havent been able to sleep well since 11Aug.. each time i wish that the marks i saw wer a nightmare or by mistake i opened some1 else's marksheet and not mine. I am a person who scored 96% in English for my CBSE boards.. Leaving my responsibilties towards my 11 month old child i prepared really hard and wrote the 4 exams of MEG..marks i got MEG3 =40!! MEG1=52.. My expectation ws to get 80-90s! MEG2 and 4 are not yet published. I'm not sure when it wil be published. I am very very disappointed and disheartened. I'm even thinking whether to continue with the course.. If such type of evaluation continues I'm sure I will hav to spend more on revaluation than on the actual fees. I was also sad by the assignment marks. i got 65 for all 4 despite spoiling my back and all the trouble taken to write it when i was pregnant. From 11Aug i have been researching on the marks Ignou gives and have got a lot of proof that the evaluation is done so casually[protected]are the usual marks given so dat revaluation is done by the students. I have just 1 doubt to IGNOU Authorities, , ATLEAST WITH THE CASH YOU ARE COLLECTING ON REVALUATION FROM THE STUDENTS WHY DON'T YOU HIRE SOME GOOD EVALUATORS WHO KNOW THE SUBJECT THEY ARE CHECKING?? Why are you spoiling our futures??? written with a lot of pain and disapointment.
