I TOTALY AGREED WITH MR. SHASHI, INDIATODAY BOOK CLUB ARE DOING FRAUD WITH THE CUSTOMER, COMPLAIN SHOULD BE LAUNCH TO THE DIRECTOR OF CONSUMER COURT.

India Today Book Club — Fraud regarding books

I had taken this offer from ITBC wherein they were providing free return airticket and Adidas bag on buying their Books Buddy pack.When i got the pack 3 weeks ago there were no free gifts, instead they give me some codes and numbers to enter to register for free gifts on their website.It has ben 3 weeks now and the web does not accept the codes given by them.When you call the call center you get unhelpful representatives who parrot lines and the 5 times I called I was told supervisors are in a meeting.I have been writing to their mail response team and all theese people write back is to give them the codes which i have provided 4 times but to no avail.Are there more people who have been cheated like this by ITBC? I am really disgusted and feel cheated by their behaviour and scam.

Oh my God. I was just browsing the portal and saw the complaints regarding India Today Book Club. To my astonishment it was same with me. I have lodged umpteenth complaints [regarding not getting the promised gifts of books against my subscription Id no ITE1785027] through email but all in vain for almost 8/9 months of my subscription. At last I wrote a letter to Mr Arun Purie, Managing Edit, India Today that on the pretext, i feel like being dupes by the magazine and that I am trashing INDIA TODAY from my readings, alongwith all the umpteenth hard copy of the emails send to their wecare [?????????] mail. Then only within a fortnight i got promised books [that too old and not of my choice] ... which I sold later to the 'raddiwala'.
And I really meant that i am trashing INDIA TODAY from my readings, that I have not renewed my subscription nor I would purchase it from the book stall any more in my life.
They think they are mighty print media and consider themselves invincible in Indian democracy. I hate 'India Today' of their arrogant and fraudulent attitude towards their subscribers.

FROM SINCE LAST ONE MONTH.IM BEING GETTING MAIL FRM INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB..THAT ILL BE GETTING ADIDAS SCHOOL BAG, TIFFIN BOX, DIAMOND COUPONS, TRIPS, REEBOK SHOES, ETC.BUT RECEIVING NOTHING???WHY?MOREOVER WHEN I RCV A MAIL THAT UR ORDER HAS BEEN DESPATCHED, I ONLY RCV 2 OPEN BRITTANICA CDS.IN THAT THEY TELL ME TO ENTER MY UNIQUE NO, ITBC NOS.INVOICE NO AT THE GIVEN SITE, MAKING THESE MANY EFFORTS WE OPEN THE SITE AND THEN WE RCV A MSG THT THIS SITE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION.VISIT AFTR 24 HRS...AND SO ON EVERY DAY THE SAME PROCEDURE IS BEING REPEATED.WHY SUCH FRAUDS AT A REPUTED SITE?NT ABLE TO GET IT.PLS SEND ME CONCERNED RPLY..IF WE WONT BE RCVING ANYTHING MORE.WE'LL LEACE IT AND NVR TAKE ANYTHIN FRM ITBC.AND IF IN CASE WELL BE RCVING WHEN?PLS NOW NOMORE FRAUDS AND LIEING BUSSINSSES.

ITBC BOOKS BUDDY — unique promotion number

Today i.e 29/12/2008 i received my booksbudd pack along with that there is a leaflet inside for free gifts claim.I follow the link www.bookstoday.in/freegifs.htm and asked for the unique promotion number and e-mail id. Also, i could not found the unique promotion number printed on the invoice. There is nothing mentioned in the invoice. Also, i opted another way to login i was asked for the membership number and web id i entered the same following my invoice cum deliery note but it says that INVALID MEMBER ID.Could you please help with that.

Just to updated you with feed back for Order is : MITBC-WEB[protected] and consignment number ED[protected]IN.
Till now I am keeping patience for the order this is totally frustrating . As per speed post it takes max three days to deliver
but still it is on the way as per your customer care.
Still there any hope of getting my shippment after 42 days even.
This is rididculous services from Book club I have ever seen
Please refund my money back as I dont trust your group any more.

I agree with the comments... After taking the order and after taking the online payment the executives are just bluffing the customers by giving lame excuses... Once they tell about courier delay, another time they will tella bout audit... When try to speak to seniors -sn iors are not available or the line is not transferrable...

ITBC- Reebok Fitness Kit — Cheating of peoples by showing the BRANDS

I recieved a email from Irctc and ITBC there is an offer on purchasing Reebok track suits and Shoes. I made the payments by credit Card on dated 7/02/2009 but till now I am not getting any Kit or money... so let me know what to all the time whenever I tried to contact them. they told me your order is under process please wait a few days what is this.. I am not getting their view...

please take action against them...

India Today Book Club — Lodged complaint not resolved yet

I lodged online complaint on 7th may. India Today immediately responded with additional querries. I answered them all. Then they wrote what I am reproducing below.

This is simply ridiculous. Can you please intervene and refund my money for shoes or help me get what company has promised to supply. It can not happen in the Land of Harishchandra that India Today is cheating 2219 people as on date.

I agree with the complaint. I too suffer for the last seven months.

I am yet to receive my Rebok shoe. The correspondance is going on with their false promises
i.e." pl. Wait few days more", "The concerned Dept has been intimated " "we assure you will receive with in few days", "Your order is processed" etc. BUT SOFAR NO RESULTS.

I placed order on 14th March with Payment through DR card (that is major mistake I did) as second order was on VPP which I got fast while first case still chasing with them with 15 reminders and I am really fedup. they always ask credit card and I did the mistake and payment is done on line through DR card. no option left out and their numbers Toll free and other direct number also tried many times but in middle call disconnected.

Since last 4 days I have been called regularly by Indiatoday book club for attactive offers.
Just by reading these complaints I will never go for any so called attactive offer.
They are making fool to the people.
they should be sued in the consumer court and such things must be banned.
The government should also look in to such type of fraudulant happenings. These ar 'Cyber Thugs'.

The India Today Book Club promotion campaigns of free holiday/ free flights are a great hoax. Sadly, many readers who associate with the magazine, get fooled by these ads.

I had opted for the 3 nights/2 days vacation offer against the 16 CDs package of Sur, Saaz Aur Taal in february 2009. I got my CDs in time, but the information for claiming the gifts was mailed to me more than 2 months after the expiry of the validity period. The links given in their e-mail www.bigcity.com/ are inaccessible and repeated complaints to their address: [protected]@bicity.com did not elicit any satisfactory response.

The other free gift of Reebok sunglasses did not arrive as promised. Please register my complaint and give this wide publicity.

I fully agree... India today i big thugs... i am really fed up ... i had ordered reebok watches pastmonths but still not received it.i will not accept the order now as i have read the complaints... thanks for saving me from these thugs

i give order to india club today my itbc no-itbc08376179 order no-0GA[protected]on 24 march rs 2598 but i recive it on 27jun so ther is no use so i can return the parcel the assurance the can refund my amount in my card compliant no1.[protected] aug 2.164109 30 july 3.157427 21july many calls speed post letter also if i caanot recive my amount i file case in consumer court and publish in all leading nespaper

I placed order for the dinner set by paying Rs.5697 in the month of March, till date I have not received the material. Each and every time I call them they used to say that I would get the material in 2 weeks time. First time they have sent and the material returned back to them. Send time they sent the material by ondot courier they don't know the status of the material. They are still sending the material for the third time. No clue or idea as when I would get my material.
