Indiatodaybookclub / Bag It Today — mishandling / improper handling of the customer order

I placed an order for a cutlery set on bag it today vide registered order no.[protected] on 22nd August, 2010. The payment was made on the site through credit card. The order history confirms the payment.

When I contacted the bag it today on 30th August, 2010, I had been informed that the order has been sent to me address through VPP.

When I took up the matter of having made the payment, I am being told that when VPP comes to my address, i have to refuse the same, it will go back to bag it today, they will take it into stock and then they will only send another prepaid parcel.

When I am taking up the matter regarding providing me the email id / mobile no. or direct no. of the head of customer care, I am just being told that it cannot be provided. I had spoken to various people on STD calls, taken up the matter at different email ids, such as contact @bagittoday.com, [protected]@bagittoday.com, [protected]@bagittoday.com. No body has given a satisfacotory reply.

ALL THE SAME THE REPLY I HAD BEEN GETTING FROM ONE AND ALL IS THE SAME, PREPAID PARCEL CAN BE SENT ONLY WHEN THE RETURNED PARCEL IS TAKEN BACK INTO STOCK.

THIS IS THE WAY CUSTOMERS ARE HARRASSED AND PUT TO LOT OF INCNVINIENCE AT THE HANDS OF INCOMPETENT STAFF AND THE RIDICULOUS POLICIES AT THE HANDS OF BAG IT TODAY.

THEY ARE JUST A IRRESPONSIBLE LOT AND ONE SHOOULD NEVER DEAL WITH THEM.

Bag It Today — Improper Response

Please stop sending the following standard response “We have gone through your complaint, we would like to inform you that as per our terms & condition product may be different from the picture on the site or on the catalog.” I understand that as per your terms & condition product may be different from the picture on the site or on the catalog. I had ordered one model but you shipped a model half its price, I am just asking you to ship the model that I had ordered of any color!!!. Don’t expect a customer who had placed an order for gold to get satisfied for Bronze. Please forward this concern to a Supervisor who can understand English!

They are shameless people if one can use gentle word.. All these mails should be directed to Mr. Aroon Purie, Managing Editor of Business Today, India Today etc. We should stop subscription to Business Today and other group magazines.
I will simply like to say that the way orders are being handled at your end and the way your executives and supervisors speak to the customers is really ridiculous and beyond tolerance.

Suggest you train your staff to process the orders meticulously as also train your executives and supervisors to speak to the customers in sophisticated way.
I really fail to understand the way you people work.

I was told on 7th September that my order has been processed on prepaid mode and it will be despatched soon.

On Saturday the 11th Septeember, I was told that the order will be despatched on Monday the 13th September, positively and I can have the courier details on Tuesday.

Today when I contacted I have been told that it will take another day or two for the parcel to be despatched.

WILL SOMEONE RESPONSIBLE AT YOUR END LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND LET ME HAAVE THE COURIER DETAILS AT THE EARLIEST WITHOUT WASTING ANY FURTHER TIME.

On tuesday 14th when I contacted customer care, i was told the order will positively be despatched on Wednesday and i can have the courier details on thursday.

On Thursday 16th September, i.e. today when i contacted, I have been told it will be despatched on Friday.

When I asked to transfer the call to supervisor, i was put on hold for a long time only to be told that the call cannot be transferred to supervisor as he is busy.

When I insisted for a call back, i was told that the supervisor will call back in 2 to three hours. This was at 10.07 am today. Till writing of these comments i.e. 14.37 hrs, 4 hrs. have passed and perhaps the supervisor is still busy but with what i fail to understand.

THIS IS THE WAY YOUR EXECUTIVES AND SUPERVISORS BEHAVE JUST TO GIVE THE CUSTOMER AN IDEA THAT HE IS THE MOST UNWANTED PERSON FOR THEM ON THIS EARTH.

I ONCE AGAIN REQUEST WILL SOMEONE REALLY SERIOUS GIVE A THOUGHT TO IT AND SEE TO IT AND GIVE ME THE DESPATCH DETAILS.

I AM REALLY FED UP WITH U PEOPLE AND HAVE THOUGH OF CANCELLING THE ORDER IF I DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU.

When contacted yesterday the customer care executive Mr. Sala Krishna Rao advised to wait for some more time may be about a fortnight. Inspite of the earlier commitments of the executives that the supervisor will call back no body botherd to call back.

So much so that a request no.625996 dated 17th September was created for the supervisor to call back still nobody bothered to call back till writing of these comments i.e. 18th September, 4.10pm.

moreover mr. sala krishna rao put me on hold thrice putting together the time on hold to something like 20 mibnutes but preferred to disconnect the call abrubptly without satisfying me on my queries and saying wish u a good day.

I WONDER HOW CAN IT BE A GOOD DAY AFTER FACING SO MUCH OF PROBLEM AT THE HANDS OF HIS COLLEAGUES AND THE ORGANISATION AS A WHOLE.

NO BODY BOTHERS TO REPLY THE EMAILS ADDRESSED TO OFFERS, ORDER OR SUPPORT OR EVEN ONLINE COMPLAINT.

I REQUEST THAT SOMONE SENIOR IN CASE THEY R GOING THROUGH THESE COMMENTS LOOKS INTO IT AND TAKE CORRECTIVE STEPS SO THAT IN FUTURE NO CUSTOMERS ARE HARRASSED THE WAY I AM BEING HARRASSED.

despite the request no.625996 dated 17th September, 2010 no body from indiatodaybook club has bothered to speak to me. This was a requst for the supervisor to call back inspite of numerous mails and std calls no body bothers at your end.

Today i have again lodged a complaint against the above request saying that no body botherd to speak back.

I have been given another request no. 629382 dated 20th September, 2010.

LET US SEE IF IT MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE ON THE EARS OF THE MOST IRRESPONSIBLE LOT OF WORKERS AND SUPERVISORS AT YOUR END AND SOMEBODY DARES TO CALL BACK AND GIVE THE EXAT POSITION OF THE DESPATCH OF THE MATERIAL.

I am sorry to say that I am not satisfied as the complaint has not been settled fully.

I have yet to receive the free reebok watch which is supposed to be given alongwith the first purchase to all members.

Through I have got the complaint lodged on the customer care but I have yet to hear from your end.

Please expedite and let me know the status.

It appears that there is a problem at every step with indiatodaybookclub / bagittoday.

Now when I have received the product and the free gift, I am facing a problem for the special offer.

After generating the ITBC request form no.ITBC23177, filling up the same and having sent the same to Premeier Sales Promotions Pvt. Limited, Bangalore as desired on 29th September, I am still waiting for the vr. to be received.

I have even contacted them on telephone no. [protected] twice, and everytime I am told, we will check up and get back to you.

But on the contrary no body gets back.

It appears that the problem is not only with Indiatodaybook club but with all their partners as well.

Will someone look into it and let me know the outcome.

It appears that India Today Book Club is just befooling the customers and making false promises.

Bag it today team has sid 25 days back to wait for a few days and the complaint has been referred to their concerned department.

I think 25 days is a good enough a time to be called a few days.

HOWEVER TILL WRITING OF THESE COMMENTS I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM BAG IT TODAY OR INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB TEAM.

I THINK THEY ARE THE MOST HOPLESS AND LEAST BELIEVABLE BUNCH OF FOLISH AND RIDICULOUS PEOPLE WHO ARE MAKING FOOL OF THEIR CUSTOMERS AND ENJOYING.
I saw a comment by bag it today team about 25 days back saying to wait for a few days and the needful will be done. In the meantime they had referred the complaint to their concerned department.

I think 25 days is good enough a time to be called a few days as advised by bag it today eam.

NOW I HAVE STARTED THINKING THAT THE BNAG IT TODAY AND INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB ARE THE MOST HOPELESS AND RIDICULOUS PEOPLE MAKING FOOL OF THEIR CUSTOMERS IN ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.

BUT PERHAPS THEY DO NOT KNOW IT WILL BE THEY WHO WILL BE LOOSERS AND FOOLS IN THE LONG RUN.

LET ALONE THE GOD GIVE THEM WISDOM TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE MAKING FOOL OF THEMSELVES ONLY BY BEFOOLING AND FRAULDING THEIR CUSTOMERS.

No comments by india today bookclub / bag it today for last 39 + 25 days and I am still waiting for the ITBC vr.

Will someone look into the matter or better perhaps I should forget it with a feeling that India Today Book Club / Bag it today is a lot of foolish people and trying to befool the customers and loot them with all the false promises.
