I too have the same issue with jeayam shelters. I booked a flat in adambakkam project three years before. No improvement. The project will never come as a train station is coming in front of the site. I understand that the land is grabbed by the railways. Dear fellow customer, we need to join together to fight for getting our money. jeayam is a big cheat. [protected]@gmail.com

I have also booked a flat during July-2011. Now they are asking me to get the money back saying that the project is dropped. It seems they are forcing us to withdraw from the project and then prepare a revised plan and re-launch the project at the price prevailing noe for these locations.

Jeayam shelters is one of the worst builders known till date... They have experience only in constructing small projects...The mega project in adambakkam is a big failure.. We had booked for phase 2 project during 2010 and they are yet to even get the approval... CMDA is ready to approve for 6 floors, if they want they can continue with just those floors.. Instead they choose to discourage their customers saying they are getting no approval at all and they can withdraw their money(Without interest for those years)!!! Maybe they are planning to sell off those 6 floors to customers who r ready to offer anything more than[protected] per sqft!!! This is completely atrocious and they will pay for all ppl`s suffering!!!

Dont believe them. I booked a flat with them paying 8.5 lakhs in there addambakam project 2 years back and they did not start the construction yet and neither repaid the money back. They give me a check and it is getting bounced. I am still daily following with them for money.
Last May I given 2 lacks and booked for the same Adambakam project through VIP, their agents were keep asking for more money and never told about reason about the project getting delayed construction / (un) approval. When I asked them about the fact then they asked me to give a cancellation letter. Even after given cancellation letter they took 2 more months and finally I got amount back!!! without bounce :)

Hi, Please don't buy. I brought a flat from Jeyam shelters in pondycherry. I have paid all my dues through bank loan. Not only me almost 150 house under construction. They used our money to build chennai projects and our project is still ongoing for 4 years.
the manager and the chairman say we will give a penalty of Rs1 per sq.ft... i pay a monthly rental of 5000 ... so is Rs1 per sq ft nominal or can move to consumer court in regarding this.

Hi, I have also booked in Jeayam Shelters, I have come to know that the are held up in Chennai Projects due to Approval Delay, most of the Adambakkam cutomers got their money back, they are not cheating anybody but some delay may occurred during repayment. Now things are moving good. So wait and adambakkam project area is good really.
2 years back, VIP Housing and Properties(No. 17B/1, Mahalingachetty St, Mahalingapuram, Nungambakkam, Chennai-34) marketed the sale of plots in Velachery under the name "Your dreams Phase II"on behalf of Jeayam Shelters Pvt Ltd(Director Sampath, Y-214 2nd floor, 2nd avenue, Annanagar Chennai-40). To book a flat in that project I was asked to pay booking charges of Rs. 3000/- and Rs. 2 Lakhs immediately to get the copy of the documents for checking legal aspects of the site. I paid totally Rs. 203000/- to VIP Housing and properties at their office and a meeting was arranged by the directors of VIP housing to handover the document copies.When I found that no progress was made even after 6-8 months, I contacted VIP housing and was told that some technical snag was being resolved with the state government with respect to sanction of the plan and that the project would definitely take-off. Even after repeated contacts the same reply was given. Finally after the lapse of 1 & 1/2 years I sent VIP Housing a letter requesting a refund of my deposit of Rs 203, 000/-. After repeated contacts, I was given a post dated cheque for Rs. 2 Lakhs to be presented after 2 months. Just on the date of presentation, I received a letter from Jeayam Shelters requesting that the cheque be presented only 15 days after the date of the cheque.When I presented the cheque for payment, the cheque was dishonored for lack of funds ie the cheque bounced. This happened not once but twice.Every weekend, I visit the offices of VIP housing to meet the GM-Operations Mr. T.S.Sreekumar (sreekumar.[protected]@gmail.com/[protected] who makes me wait for hours. After finally meeting him, he took a copy of my bank passbook and promised me that the funds will be transferred electronically next week, however this again never happened.How can these people openly cheat and show disrespect to customers who have invested in their projects? Who is to question such people?
Did you guys get the money? I'm also one of the person who has booked the flat and got cheated by Jeayam Shelters. Now they have shifted from the Anna Nagar office to Villivakkam. He claims to have arranged to sell his property in ECR and expected to receive the money Mid-Aug. He has been giving excuses every month and not giving the money. Not sure what to do. My lawyer is suggesting to move court and attach the property before he sells the Adambakkam property also and we left stranded.
