[Resolved]  Jet Airways — Overbooking

I was the chaperone for a school trip and was involuntarily denied boarding. I can't believe they seperated me from my underage students! I was rerouted through another country, delayed 10 hours, I had no local currency and little to no help was offered. The plane they booked me on was cancelled long before I arrived at the gate, and I had to get myself to another airport to try to catch a flight out.

Ironically they said they had someone waiting to help me but I was not on the flight! I WAS NOT ON THE FLIGHT BECAUSE IT WAS CANCELLED!!!!

I will never fly with jet airways again!

I had a confirmed ticket for a Mumbai-Chennai flight on the 1st of August,2010 at 3:20pm.we checked in at 2:30 pm way before the 30 min prior departure policy of jet airways.We were informed that the flight was overbooked and we would not get seats on this flight.At first the staff said we had checked in late but we knew this was not correct.Later,they agreed to put us on a different flight.They put us on an Air India flight flying out at 5:50 pm although there was an earlier jet airways flight.I want to know what i can do to make jet airways compensate for causing such problems.I have never come across staff that spoke to me in such a threatening tone.
I too was involuntarily removed from a flight. I was leading a school trip, and I was the chaperon! I was 10 hours delayed in joining up with my group again. I was offered little to no help, I was detoured through another country, with no local currency, and the plane they booked me a flight on was cancelled! I was left to find my way to another airport and try to get home from there!

I was dumbfounded when they accused me of not accepting help as they had someone waiting but I was not on the plane...the plane I was not on was the one that was cancelled!!!
What kind of business model jet airways is following? Overbook flight if tickets are getting sold for higher price & then keep some loud mouth ladies to sought on customers that we are least bothered about your urgent work. Will never fly with Jet again.. Worst in industry services...!
jet airways sucks...why they are following this ridiculous procedure...my husband is denied seat rigt now...time to learn lesson from united
