[Resolved]  Karnataka Electricity Board — No power

Yesterday (14th April, 2010) the entire night there was no power and the same thing continues from today morning. Yesterday I was in office so was ablt to locate that from evening 6.30 pm there was no power.
Tried to call the Bescom - No use as usual
Tried to open their website - No use as usual not working
I don't understand why government organisation people as so careless on their work - I will tell the reason when they get the job they thing that they are now safe to earn their livelihood for his/her entire life. You work or do not work who cares. But who are the suffers that is WE. We pay the huge amount of tax to them but they don't care for us.
Now - as I don't know who is responsible for this power cut for so long hours. My place is in Horamavu-Agara (laodshedding are like village here. Expect everyday of 6 hrs min load shedding but the electricity charges are Bangalore URBAN.
High time to check these matter for the government.

This is very bad... This electtricity boad have to take any good action . Either they have some regular load shedding or they dont. Its very unprofessinal.

Last sunday, there was no info, we had no power since 9:00pm to 6:pm

Atleast information is important... that is not there.

If i want to give complaint... they dont receive call.

Well they have taken granted...

Now today, no power again sincce 11:00am, still now...

Whom should we tell

they wont pick the call, what we should do...!
KEB plays with the people - irrespective of age group.It plays on/off game. Good Entertainment to its staff. As it is not possible to watch TV in office rooms to all the employees, they need an entertainment programme. So they play on/off game. Game rule is do many On/Off - Don't allow the people to watch - important Cricket matches T20 / Asia Cup // Don't allow people to watch FiFa2010 Quarter Finals / SemiFinals... Allow Citizens to watch Highlights and enjoy. Keep their(citizens) eyesight perfect. Keep their bodies hot and sweating, Only in summer. Keeps the citizens health intact.. Thanks KEB for helping citizens
We at Ashraya layout(behind Gopalan National School) near Hoodi, close to ITPL are facing unprecidental power cut ranging from 7 to 8hrs. The problem is even after day time power cuts, the KEB makes sure to switch off during thier official cut timings. We being a small residential layout face innumerable problems due to this, ranging from children not able to study and having to face insecurity during the dark at night. Why is the KEB not understanding the plight of a small pocket of residents amidst industrial zone like Mahadevapura? Can they spare us of this dark days in Bangalore city's posh area where the Government promises relief to the common man.
KEB is the worst service provider. their sole aim seems to be load shedding than providing electricity services. During the most necessary period of electricity usage they cut the power supply. Even if the residents of a particular area would like to plan the load shedding so that it is workable for both they refuse to take any suggestions and point finger at the 'Government'. The customer service or technical team of KEB is always elusive as they never receive the phone calls. Citizens pay taxes to get this service from them.

As compared to to other metro cities in Bangalore we pay higher per unit charges but the services provided by KEB are far below standard as in the other states.KEB's negligence has no limits as they are not bothered at all on what are the problems of the citizens.
Is the government aware of the problems that KEB gives to people rather than providing services or do they want to turn a deaf ear similar to the other infrastructure problems that pain Bangalore city.

Since few days power cut is regular in Sahakar nagar ( kodigehalli main road ), Bangalore - 92.Yesterday it was like 1hr power cut & 1hr current since morning to evening.it is very difficult for us.kindly take necessary action
The KEB staff who come from house to house to take meter readings and who do the disconnection for non payment are extremely rude people. They do not know the way to talk to people. They bang on the gates like as if it is their property. They are very abusive and extremely loud mouthed. They behave like they are owning KEB and that they are giving us free power. They treat us like beggars. Please take necessary and immediate action on such people. (Kariyanapalya, Lingarajapuram area) The men who come for meter reading and disconnection are two well built and tall men. We are having some financial problems and have slightly delayed pyment. They can speak decently because we are ordinary people and not thieves or thugs.
