Lml Limited — Refund.

Dear Sir,
I had booked 2no. LML Vespa's with LML Limited,in the year around 1982, then i cancelled the booking as because of the scooter's bad review. The delivery nos. of them are 002074 and 010246,I did not receive any refund till 1985 so i again wrote to them, and also intimated about my address change, but they dispatched the refund orders at the old address despite of providing all the proof of residence, and i got those cheques after their validation date, so i sent them back in march'1987, then i got a letter on my new address, that i have to send them a self attested paper with the signatures of 2 witnesses with non judicial stamp pasted, I did that too and returned all the papers in the year 1987,but there was no response,so i wrote them a letter on 28/09/2001,and second one on 07/11/2006, both of them were sent by registered ad, i have proof of receipt too, but till date there is no response from the company, and as its been long 28years, i still am yet to find the basic amount of Rs.500(booking amount per scooter i had booked 2 of them), if i had made a fixed deposit in a bank you can calculate how many times my those Rs.1000 would have grown.
Please help me out of this and get my refund orders along with the interest as early as possible.

I had also booked a Vespa XL scooter in 1982 against booking ref no. P22/000879 with a deposit of Rs 500.
Cancellation request along with duly discharged booking intimation slip was sent to the company as per their advice by regd.ad letter on 10th Nov 1987 (duly acknoledged receipt by the company)
After several reminders the company replied vide letter dtd 29/3/1989 that the refund pay order shall be mailed to me shortly.
Since then I have sent them several reminders but the company has just stopped responding !

Apart from this despite several reminders they have neither given due interest since 1990 nor refunded the principle amount against 10nrs of 13.5% non-convertible debentures with a total face value of Rs 1, 000 under regd.folio nrs LMS-77435 & LMR-75097
Is there no protection for small investors in India against unscrupulous industrialists ? Can someone advice what is the best course of action to recover our dues & punish the guilty ?
