[Resolved] Lucknow Municipal Corporation — open drains/sewage and dug up roads in south city

1. The erstwhile Unitech Township is now taken over by Lucknow Municipal Corporation. The state of health/ hygene and maintenance of infrastructure is much to be desired. Almost all the internal roads in front of houses are non existent and building material is dumped all along the roads. A lot of hilth can be seen on vacant plots and park areas. Road divider along the main road from Rae Bareli road upto Milanium School is full of wild growth. Unitech had been charging maintenance cost to all the owners which is now the onus of the corporation. No maintenance is ever seen and there seems to be no plan of road/drain repairs.
2. As regards overflowing dainage and sewage water, it is contant threat to the occupants along market area. There is excessive mosqito breeding in stagnant water all around ,which may result in spread of epidemic any time.
3. I suggest that following measures be taken immediately by the municipal corporation :-
(a) Construction of all interior roads.
(b) Repair/ construction of all road side drains.
(c) Maintenance of road dividers by planting flowering trees/shrubs.
(d) Channelise open drainage/sewerage into covered drains/ central sewage.
(e) Remove all the filth/debris from vacant plots/parks and road sides.
I wish madam Chief Minister may kindly pay a visit to this area to see the condition for herself.

public — Road Dividers

Road dividers in Hazratganj area have many cuts and it creats traffic hazards.It can be seen that while commuters cross through these cuts
traffic gets impeded an at times there are jams.Also at cuts which are longer vehicls take u-turn and this again results in jams.

Authorities may kindly see if these cuts can be plugged as has been done in the past on Faizabad road.

Sometimes back it was told that there are schemes for construcion of subways and underways at some busy and important points in the city.
Will authorities be kind to take the matter afreshand expedite to come to the rescue of traffic problems.

we are facing lot of problems due to the open drainage done infront of our houses.The entire area is smelling a lot.so please arrange for an enclosed channel and help us..

Dear sir,
I live in Gali No.11, Pawanpuri, Alambagh, behind New Public School, Lucknow. There was heavy rains on 14th August, 2011 in Lucknow and whole lucknow city was almost facing water logging problem everywhere. There was water logging in our Gali No11 also. Some disturbing elements without realising the general problem of water logging and whim and to create problem not only to me but to general public passing through this road removed the cement tiles of the road which can still be seen today.The father of Mr Mridul shukla of the same lane provoked for this inhuman misdeed. I am surprised, he is of around 65 yrs of age he is leading the show.The other persons who removed the cement tiles and dug were other nearby young persons.It is requested to kindly realise the problem and get repaired the road at the earliest with the instructions to not to do this kind of work again.
