Hi,
I was purchased Luminous Battery for Home Inverter on 13th July 2021 with 2 Years Warranty and 2 Years Warranty. I got a backup problem with the new battery. I complained 2 times for this problem, on first complaint the service engineer told me that the fault is with your inverter not the battery and he closed the complaint. On the second complaint, the same service engineer came to check and said the same thing. I called a third party electrician to check it out, after much discussion the service engineer accepted that the battery is faulty and took it for a battery replacement on 06 Sep 2022 without any alternative battery. It's been almost 2 weeks now, I called luminous representative several times but no one answered my call about this satisfactorily.

      Dear sir,

      I have complained regarding the problem being faced in the luminous invertor. After the complaint was attend it was told that there is some manufacturing defect in the luminous battery due to this the same may be either replaced by new one or else it may be corrected and till then u may be provided the stand by battery as per the company norms, but to our surprise no body as turned up nor the stand by battery has been installed so for in spite of various follow-ups with your berhampur, ganjam, odisha service centre people and the head office persons. Because of this problem in the battery which is still under warranty period we have faced a lot of problems as there is severe power cuts in the our area. Request to please look in to the matter at your best earliest possible time.
      Would appreciate if my complaint can be action on time.

        i am sad to say i am utterly dissapointed with how you guys have handled this situation. I have placed this complaint on 30th may.
        Firstly its been hardly 20 days and the inverter battery is leaking. Secondly since 3 days each and everyday the technician is telling me he is coming to check the problem. And every day he cancels without even having the least decency of calling and telling. Inspite of always telling him to come anytime after 3.30pm to which he agreed he still cancels. Today i call him and he very rudely says that he cannot come at the specified time and when i threatened to call the call centre and complain he arrogantly says to go ahead and complain.
        This is complete customer harrasment and i am totally dissapointed in putting my trust in luminous inverters. you guys please take back your product and refund my money or please resolve this problem immidiatly. And please do take action against the service centre. these are not the kind of people you employ .
        Luminous Service Engineer not coprative.
        Even after 3rd visit complain not resolved. And narrated that not visit again n again.
        Top Pannel not properly manage customers call.

          I purchased Luminios tubulor battery ILSTT17018, S.No. 424762 on 17.04.11, but after one year backup was very poor after my complaint it was replaced on 15.03.12, But again the same problem starts with the repalced battery. I have again complaint with the service provider. Please suggest what to do in this case.

Last January Month I was give luminous battery for replacement purpose to the supplier but at till date I haven't received replaced battery from your side. Due to this I am Suffering from lots of problem & also I am not satisfied from your service. I request please provide me my replaced battery as soon as possible. Lastly I say that strict action will be taken against supplier/service provider otherwise I will go to consumer court.

              Dear sir
              In last 2 to 3 days, there is a problem occurring in my inverter. Inverter takes charging for sometimes say 2 to 3 minutes and then suddenly stop charging. Second problems is that all indicators of luminous inverter glows at a same time and gets shut down.what are the problems if there are problems then which part invertor or battery

                Dear Sir,

                This is to inform you that buy An Inverter from local dealer ANAND ELECTRONIC, Zirakpur in the month of Dec-2011. Battery not working properly, after full charging having 1 hour backup this happening before completing one year.

                Further regarding the same update to Dealer but he is not responding I'm daily calling and visiting his shop, he said follow-up with Company...

                Further I have also logged a complaint on Luminus customer care my complaint no is 18994 dt. 7th Aug'12. Inverter is still under warranty..

                In this hot season very defecate stay at home without electricity, i have two small daughter.

                Such a big brand taking time such small issue,

                I have already update the dealer if this issue not close within 15 day other wise i'll submit the complaint in consume-court. Further Dealer refuge to replace the battery he is demanding 50% payments

                You are requested to please attend my issue and suggest me for next..

                I'm writing this letter because i'm not getting any response any one. I think this is my big mistake i have buy Big brand Inverter.

                  My self manoj kumar for the purpose of Invertor I purchased a tubular battery modal no ILTT 18048 serial no. 827192 of your company on date 18/04/2011 but the battery is not giving proper backup I complained it s on date 12/12/2011 on customer service no than i received a request no. IN11CO12666 and after that I mail to customer department with query no. but till now I have not received any information towards your company when they resolved my problem. I feel very bad but last time I am writing is complained perhaps the concern will help me

                    I have purchased one inverter along with Luminous Battery from "Shakti Electricals & Electronics" in Allahpur,Near EWS Colony,Allahabad on 11.05.09

                    Its Warranty claim is upto 11.11.11 (30 months from date of purchase) or 31.12.11(33 months from date of manufacturing i.e.31.03.09) which ever is earlier.

                    Since this battery is not working at least for 01 hour on power cut had a chat with the dealer on the phone.

                    Now today on 07.10.11 I had conversation with the dealer and asked for repairing of battery with suitable standby battery.He strongly refused to repair and provide the standby battery.

                    Please help me in this matter so that such problems may not come in near future

                      Myself Ranjeet Kr. Shah, purchased a whole set of Invertor with two tubular batteries recently but it is not working properly since I've purchased it two to three times I've faced the problem with Invertor itself but now with the both batteries the backup is very pathetic. Ultimately so many times I have complaint but no any proper reply and service were provided.

                      I will never recommend to anyone to purchase from the such type of company.

As per product i have 12 months warrenty period from purchase or 15 months warrenty from manufacturing which ever will be lesser. But from last month i am not getting any back up from this. battery is not charging at all. It can't hold charge. saler is everytime getting complain but not responding over the complain.                           A Complaint no UL88738 have been registered on 2nd June 2010 for luminous UPS and 1 service man named Anmol came on 2nd of june only to attend the complaint having no tool-bag as he can't even have a screwdriver to open the ups as we provide his the screwdriver and he checked the UPS and said battery problem and i'' came on coming Friday and change the battery.
                          but till today no one came and not even bothered to update whats going about our complaint. calling customer care its found that call is closed by showing remark no bill as he not even asked for bill for once even. and when we call anmol for the complaint he talked like rubbish as said "nahi karta karlo jo karna hai"
                          as this attitude makes a negitive impact
                          the consult department kindly look into this matter and make my call ok as soom as possible

                            I had bought a luminous batteries Model No –LET-180- 150AH on dated 14th March’10 from your dealer M/S Prime Lam- D 49 / 8 Dilshad Colony – Delhi- 95 ,Invoice No 1209- in exchange with old Luminous battery.
                            As desired, we requested for service many times but no one move, above battery warranty period is 24 months provided by your company, but within one month battery performance is very pathetic. It is working with two fans load only 01 hrs even after full charging. As mentioned I have used luminous battery earlier also but I am not satisfied with this battery performance, because when I am facing problem within one month how can it work after one year.

                              We had purchased Luminous make battery ( Sr No 074870 ) from M/s Satellite Power Products, Shop No 98, Block II, Ganga Shopping Complex, Sector 29, Noida for Rs 7500/-, vide bill no 061 dtd 24.3.09, for our Luminous inverter at our residence at C-172, Kendriya Vihar, Sector 51, Noida . The said battery failed, while under warranty, & was duly reported to the dealer, who confirmed it as faulty & took it away on 8.1.09 for free replacement. Since then, we have following up regularly with the dealer ( one Mr Karan Singh at 2451172 / [protected] & their Helpline no [protected] ). The dealer has been giving false reassurances of getting back with a replacement in next 1 or 2 hours, but not taking any action. We are suffering in dark during long power cuts, without any support from dealer. We are not able to find any contact details of Luminous to log the complaint & the Company remains inaccessible & insensitive towards the customers. What sort of CUSTOMER CARE & WARRANTY SUPPORT does the Company boast of? This is really UNFORTUNATE!!!!! KINDLY HELP WITH IMMEDIATE RESTORATION.

                              i agree with you. the luminous battery service is very poor. i advise all people that they do not buy luminous battery or inverter. they do not listen / attend our complaints. their behaviour is very poor. i am suffering from battery problem. i did many complaints in customer care number. nothing is done.
                              YA! IT IS TRUE, SERVICE SHOULD BE PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE CENTRE, BUT THEY TAKE BACK SEAT BY SAYING IT WILL TAKE TIME, THE BATTERY IS O.K. ETC.
                              We had purchased Luminous make battery ( Sr No 857605 ) from Unique tradingSector 31, Noida for Rs 7000/-, with valid bill 17.4.10, for our Luminous inverter at our residence at Sector 25, Noida.. The said battery failed, while under warranty, & was duly reported to the dealer, who confirmed it as faulty & took it away for free replacement. Since then, we have following up regularly with the dealer & their Helpline no [protected] . The dealer has been giving false reassurances of getting back with a replacement but not taking any action. Its has been 10 days and 5 followup call but no action taken.

                              I think they are waiting warranty to expire.

                              We are suffering in dark during long power cuts. We are not able to find any contact details of Luminous to log the complaint.
                              very very poor service support even i did not got my battery on time dealer is jst giving assurance to change the batter but no action has been take n till date. it has been 2 months now . Dont ever buy LUMINOUS BATTERY as they only make false promoses and make fool of customer.

                                Dear Sir/Madam,

                                The undersigned bought a Luminous Car Battery from M/s Seeko Plates & Batteries vide memo no. 2001 dated Dec 04,2008 warranty card no. 234823. Sir/Madam for last 4-5 days I am facing Car starting problem in the morning and i have to push my car to start it. Sir/Madam, today i.e. January 11,2010 when i visited the local service centre of Luminous Batteries the representative first asked me to get the battery checked by the concerned dealer . When the dealer reported the battery to be defected i approached the service centre again and asked them for a replacement. Then the representative started checking the battery at his own n refused the replacement or service saying that i need to visit next morning if the car is not started. I asked them to provide me door step services in that case he straight way refused n stick to his statement.
                                Sir/Madam, i am facing this problem for last 4-5 days n only after checking out the problem I visited the service centre. I request you to kindly look in to the matter n resolve the matter at the earliest so that i dont face the same problem again.

                                  i have purchased a set of luminous battery and inverter from an dealership of the company in Panipat Haryana. Initially the dealer said that due to short supply the prescribed battery was not available but he will install the right product in a week. in the meantime he installed a lower capacity battery and the inverter giving me the bill of the total ammount of the original set which was costing to me around 15000. i made a discounted payment of 10000 INR with a promise to pay remaining 5000 INR on deliverance of the original battrey that i requested. But on repeated asking today after 4 months also he has not delivered always saying that the stock is not coming. Can u please guide how i should proceed in this matter because deeply humilated to be denied of my right to buy and i dont want to exercise any mal practice to obtain my right.

                                    I purchased one inverter of luminous with battery in april 2008.The battery warranty is over only in august & the battery is not taking charge as it is damaged & non repairable.The luminous is promoting battery with its Inverter without expertise in manufacturing of battery.Any battery should not be useless within year or so.Now the company is not bothering as warranty lasted one month back,are they making products just to last only for 1 year warranty.I feel cheated by luminous.Please do needfull to atleast get the battery repaired .

                                    i have purchase the luminous battery the warranty was expired on 15.01.2011 the complain was lodge with the dealers M/S D.K. Industries Mahmoorganj Varanasi. I have already lodge my complain with the dealer on 14.01.2011. When I again contacted my dealer on 17.01.2011 they have given me the no of service centre as the same was not inform to the service centre by my dealers. when i was contacted the service centre their representative have informed us that the warranty has expired because the service centre has not been informed by the dealers. When i have lodge my complain with the dealers within the warranty and not attainded the dealer how my warranty has expired.the dealers and the company are cheating their customer

                                      LUMINIOUS INVERTER AND BATTERY — NOT WORKING FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE

                                      We have luminious inverter in our house. Which stop working since the date of purchse i.e. 13.04.2008 .We are continously contacting to call center and service center. But they always talk in a rude manner and there is no response from them .
                                      My complaint no. is UL 2659 dated 19.04.2008
                                      please help us and get this matter resolve
                                      i have purchase inverter and battery from gupta electrical vijay nagar ghaziabad on date 13/04/2008.but now inverter show overload after 4 hour.and charging time taken by battery is only 10minuts.

                                      Luminous battery — Battery Backup zero (Battery Problem)

                                      I have Launch complained on 21/07/09 and my Complaint No 315961
                                      I purchased Luminous Battery on 11/03/2008 from Kapil Traders Gurgaon. It worked hardly for 1year 1 month after that it started giving problems like not giving proper backup. I registered complaints so many times on phone nos. given on bill[protected]/5/6, 45500700. hardly it gives backup for 10 minutes . Here my complaint nos. which i have mentioned and persons name whom i contacted with but did not reply treating me as a customer - complaint no. 315961, dt.21/07/2009 and talked with Mr. Nitis Chawla, dt. 23/07/09, 24/07/09 talked with Rajiv (H.Q.) on[protected]/945/940 on these nos. people do not reply properly they put the phone on hold for atleast 10-15 minutes they do not think that customer is spending money on calls despite purchasing their product,
                                      Now I am completely fedup since i purchased it i have been facing the problem. I think this is how Luminous make the business, warranty period will get lapse this way and these people will be out of the guranttee commitment.
                                      Really it was my mistake I took the decision to purchase Luminous Battery, I should have purchased other battery. Pls care and take the problem seriously. And replace my battery before warrenty period.

                                      Dear Sir,
                                      WE purchased a luminous invertor from BEDI ELECTRICALS on 19/07/2008.Product was warranted for 2years vide bill no. 216 of 19/07/2008.Now it has gone defective and neither luminous company nor shopkeeper is giving response for its rectification. Complaint was also registered vide complaint no.53886 on 25 th aug but now they have stopped taking complaints/phone calls.Please help.

                                      My self Sachin, from Gurgaon. I purchased a luminous battery for inverter in Feb' 08 with 18 months warranty. But 4 months after purchasing, the battery would not even give the back up for even 10 minutes. I raised a complaint for the same, technician came in but said that it is a problem with the Inverter. I got inverter checked but it was just fine. I again called the technician, this time he said that there is a problem in the battery and the battery was replaced with the new one in Jan 09.
                                      For few weeks it worked just fine. But again it started giving the same problem. I called technician again, to my surprise he conveyed me that I should get the battery fully charged from a local shop, Instead I asked him to get it done from Luminous workshop as this was still in warranty. Just in the nick of the warranty expiry, they took the battery and gave me after just charging it. For few days it worked fine, but again I am facing the same problem.
                                      There seems to some technical problem with the Luminous batteries as once these get almost fully discharged, cannot be charged again with the inverter.
                                      I don't think luminous support people are going to respond after warranty expiry as I had difficulty in getting the things done during warranty phase itself.
                                      I had a very very bad experience with the Luminous battery and will not recommend anyone to buy these.

                                      inverter battery — Battery drains every now and then.

                                      The Battery was found to be draining off in very short time, and the battery was under warranty. we have our warranty card as well tooo.

                                      The battery was sent to Ashish Enterprises Tel : [protected] / 24315017 For check, they had found it okay and send it back only by charging it, and they had also charged 50/- which we have paid. After a week the battery drained off, and when we called up the statement given was, that the battery was not charged properly and the not enough water was filled in it, but the battery was charged at there end (Ashish Enterprises). Now we had checked in some service station the battery was found to be total dead.

                                      inverter battery — Battery not working after one year from the date of purchase

                                      On 14th March 2009 I purchsed an 800 VA inverter and battery of Luminius from VERMA POWER POINT 228 Vardman Dee Cee Plaza Plot no 5 Sector 11 Dwarka New Delhi - 110075 . after one year the battery was not working and i complaind to the dealer in April 2010 for so many times but all in vain, at every time he assued me that the company will replace the same. At last i directly complaind to the company under complaint no DL486894 dated 3rd July 2010 and was assued that the Battery is under warrenty and will be replaced with a new battery. nothing happend after repeated reminders.

                                      In view of the same you are requested to do the needful.

                                      Luminous Power Technologies Ltd. — I want to replace our Luminous Inverter

                                      We have purchased Luminous ion Sine Wave inverter from Shri Balaji Inverters & Batteries on Date: 05 September 2008 model no.ION Digital Sine Serial No. AOCLHF[protected] Rating 2500 VA. As per warranty card the warranty will last for a period of 24 months from the date of intitial delivery. But now we are facing problem in the inverter as such we made a complaint to Luminous office vide complaint no. DL-705010 at least two months back, engineer visited us after a number of calls and told us that there is a fault in the card and changed the card but the problem persisted after that also and as such we made another complaint vide complaint no. DL 7152528 again after numerous follow ups an Luminous engineer visited and told us that we will have to change the card again but nothing happened after that also. We made another complaint vide DL 715636 and then we had to follow up a no. of times and then the engineer visited and told us that they will have to take the inverter to the company still no one has visited and solved the problem. Now we are left with no other alternative other than to go to the consumer court and claim the damages for the agony and time we are wasting in calling them and following up. I think that Luminous people are waiting for the warranty period to be over.
                                      Please take necessary action.

                                      Luminous Power Technologies Pvt. Ltd. — NO ACTION ON REPLACEMENT OF FAULTY LUMINOUS BATTERY UNDER WARRANTY PERIOD

                                      I purchased Luminous Inverter + Battery IL-16000 (S.No. 498601) on 26th Jun 2009 with warranty of 24 months on Inventor and 18 months on Battery from the shop M/s Dhruv Electronics, Uttam Ngr, ND. The said battery left to give back up in Nov 2010 and problem was duly reported to Luminous Customer Care Service on 04 Dec 2010 under Complaint No. DL 790880. The man from company came, did not resolve my problem and left venue just advising to make battery full of water without any check up of battery and further asking that he would again have a visit on the site for check the battery. After some days, on going off of light, despite filling more water in the battery, I found that there is still no back up from the inverter. Second, the man also did not visit to check the battery. Waiting him, on 24 Jan 2011, I again reminded the customer Care Service of the Company on the problem. The staff visited and inspected the battery thoroughly and declared the battery dead. Since then, I am pursuing the Company for replacement of battery under warrantee period as per my pending complaint No. mentioned above made on 04 Dec 2010 where no action has been taken to sort out the problem. The warranty expired on 26 Dec 2010.

                                      I have been following up for this problem with M/s Luminous for more than 60 days to resolve my complaint. The company should replace the faulty battery immediately to solve the problem as the fault of non-back up was reported within the warranty period.

                                      Luminous batteries — DON'T EVER BUY LUMINOUS BATTERIES

                                      Dont Ever Buy Luminous Batteries. There are better brands available. These guys are cheats. Batteries wont even last the warranty period. My battery only lasted for 10 months and never got a replacement after repeated requests. When the warranty was over, they called up and said they cant help as the warranty is over and they dont have my complaint records.

                                      HP — DEALER NOT GIVING SUPPLY OF BATTERY

                                      THIS IS TO INFORM THAT I HAD ORDERED FOR A BATTERY TO MY LAPTOP CQ 40 317 ON 1ST OF MAY AND THE DEALER HAS ASSURED THAT I WILL GET IT BY NEXT DAY BUT ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS AND HE HAS BEEN DELAYING THE DELIVERY.                                       Their after sales service is either absent or incompetent.
                                      Their non-Luminous brands like Hyundai, etc. are much better. Luminous brand is useless.

                                      I have logged complaint several times on call ([protected] dated 02-11-14 & [protected] dated[protected] for battery maintenance as it's been used for 6 month now. But no action has been taken so far.
                                      Also your engineer Manoj Kumar (Contact: [protected]) never agrees to visit our place and do his job. He asks us to purchase things before he can visit even though our product is under warrenty period.
                                      Kindly look it this matter and solve my problem.
