[Resolved]  Maruthi Omni Lpg — faulty switch

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

With great regret and after two years of facing problem I wish to bring this to the notice of your organisation as I cannot find a email address at maruthi to send to.....

Dealership the vehicle serviced by : Kalyani Motors, Mysore road, Bangalore

I purchased a OMNI LPG in the month of August 2008, Immediatley after I took deliver late in the evening and even before I coould use your petrol voucher (Five Ltrs) I had to come back to the show room to report a noise from the LPG Switch. Since the delivery was given late in the evening I was promptly guided to come the next day since it was closing time.

The job card no JC08007335,dt;30/08/08 does not reflect the problem (Please refer the job slip of 30/08/08 which contains my writing down the details of problems) and after much persuasion I could get a xerox copy of these documents and subsequently I have reported this problem till the third service. Every time the reply was that it has been rectified (Reasons given were that it was only a loose contact OR it was only dust accumulation etc) and as usual I was dodged when asked for the copy of the job card.I managed to get a duplicate job slip dt:25/01/09 where in you will find the executive writing the problem as noise and not specifying. I had a breakdown because of this in the very first week and I was advised to put on the choke and bring it to the service station by your mobile service squad.

I had no option but to try other service station to rectify this problem since I was all along taken for ride by this dealer.

As I was using it sparingly till August this year I was not bothering much since I was always told that it is not any thing major.

But now I find this problem a irritation as the engine goes off in traffic when the valve shuts Off and On frequently every day .

I have also pointed out a problem with wiper motor which is making a squeky noise when running, they removed it applied grease and gave it back only for the noise to start the second day. Here again they refused to put it on record.Very clearly they are practising any ethics in attending to the customer.

This is now confirmed to me that the dealer was"CHEATING" me by not replacing the switch(Or what ever that is making the noise -The noise is from the glass cased unit placed on top of the LPG cylinder) and avoiding to part with job card copies.. If it is the instructions of the company not to part with job card then I am afraid Maruthi Udyog is not practising any ethics with their customers. By not telling the truth and by not correcting the defect pointed out by the customer the dealer clearly is "Taking the customer for a ride" and putting him into mental torture and financial losses.

I am now told this is going to cost me around RS.10,000/- for replacement. Can the company tell me why I should be going through this.

Expecting a reply from your end before I explore legal options.
