On the 31st Oct I had booked a cab with Meru for a drop at the airport. The cab not only came late by 10 minutes but the cab driver on being told the same was rude. I not only ended up missing my flight but was also stranded at the airport for 8 hours. On my repeated attempts to get in touch with the Meru Cabs authority I finally got a reply after I started posting on consumer forums online.
The Meru Cab authorities have refused any compensation despite admitting that the cab was late and that the driver was indeed rude.
The worst kind of customer care and the most unreliable service. Was this information helpful? |
Meru — Not Arrived
Yesterday morning(5th Jun 2011) I called Meru to book a cab on 6th June 2011 at 4:45AM from Sarjapur Road to Majestic Railway Station.I received a SMS that my booking is confirmed.
6th June Morning I also received a SMS from Meru with Driver details.

Called the driver at 4:30AM and told him the pick-up details and landmark. Cab driver replied back saying that he will be reaching the pickup point before time.
At 4:50AM when I didn't saw any cab near my place, I tried reaching the cab driver, but he didn't picked my call (tried more than 25 times)
Later I called Meru customer service desk to raise a complaint, I got a reply from Meru that 'WE ARE ALSO NOT ABLE TO REACH THE CAB DRIVER, SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, AT THIS POINT WE CANNOT ARRANGE FOR A DIFFERENT CAB'
I am raising this kind of issue for the first time in this forum, but in past I have faced this kind of behavior from Meru.
