I am writing this letter to highlight the problems that people faces everyday while traveling in Bus No 39.
I am a regular traveler of this bus as I work in MIDC Area in Andheri. This bus travels from J.P Mehta Marg via Vile Parle to Seepz.
As you are aware, Andheri(E) is a commercial area and morning is the peak hours. Most of the travelers are office going passengers where all o[censored]s have to reach office in our respected timings. Yet the BEST has never taken any steps for the benefits of the travelers.
The first and the foremost, this is the only one Bus which travels till Seepz. There are other buses such as Bus No.2 and Bus no 312, but Bus No 2 goes only till MIDC bus depot only and 312 comes from Sion and travels visa airport and Vile Parle to Seepz. So the travelers have no option but to travel by this bus only. BEST has never thought of no of people traveling everyday by this route.
Secondly, Even though everyone is aware that morning are the peak hours for office goers yet the frequency of this bus is low, approx 15 min/bus. At times, a particular bus gets cancelled and then another bus comes after 20-25 mins.
I board from Mahim, Sitladevi bus stop. By the time the bus comes till Mahim, Most of the seat gets occupied. From Kalanagar onwards, people starts boarding in and the bus becomes so full that one just can’t move an inch. For the ladies, it becomes as difficult as there are hardly any passengers getting down but the conductor keeps filling in the people.
Due to the less frequency, the no of passenger increase and the bus cannot accommodate all of them.
To add to the worst, the bus takes a turn from Hanuman Road, Vile parle station and travels all the lanes of Vile Parle and comes out of Garware. This takes up 10-15 min of the passengers
But the fact is since the bus is so full and people are hardly able to get into the bus as there are hardly anyone getting down from the bus. So there is no point in taking the bus via this route. But if the bus start going directly via the highway, this will save so much time of the passengers But BEST authorities are least bothered about the problems
Also there are other buses such as 312 and 2 which travel via this route. Hence this is a sheer waste of time
I request if you could put this in your paper so that our voice will be heard by BEST authorities and will take some action for the benefit of the travelers
Many other passengers have given letters to the BEST authorities requesting them to increase the frequency of this bus but no action has been taken yet
Firtsly there is only one bus traveling through this route. Secondly the frequency is low even though the BEST knows that this is the peak hours.

Many a times, when we speak to the conductor about this problem, he says it’s not his job
And if one bus is packed the nest bus normally remains empty but this is not normally true, there is not a single bus which comes empty

Mr. D Shyam Kumar, That is the stupidest response i have ever heard. Just because a women wears mini skirts, does not mean she wants men's attraction.
It is people like YOU who look down the womens blouse when they even wear saries.
So stop giving gyan about womens to being a (So called) Indian women. Do you know the definition of a Indian women? They are to be respected. And yes, they don't need people like you to protect them.
And about she getting a "good lesson", the day any women SLAPS you in the middle of public, you wont be "Indian MAN anymore. So mind your words and Stay away from them before they show you what a Real Indian Women is.
For now, keep your shirt buttons closed and enjoy the ride.
