[Resolved] NIIT — Unskilled Teaching | |
Hello. My name is Raam Joshi. I am a British Citizen. I travelled to india to study at NIIT in Vidyanagar, Anand hoping to broaden my education. Currently, i possess a degree (BA - Animation & Interactive Media) - i signed up for a 3 month course. I am definatley being cheated out of an education. the teacher does not know anything about the software he is teaching - he is simply reading from a book and spitting it out to us. when i ask a question - all he does is read from the book. he is extremely incoherient. I talked to the teacher and he told me that he is not qualified to teach the software we are learning (Macromedia Flash CS3) - he told be he is "learning as he goes" - i feel one cannot teach on a subject which he has no knowledge of. I am from england - my english is of the highest international standard, yet even i cannot understand what he is talking about. Before joining the course, i was told that the teacher would have over 15 years experience in web design. the current teacher has zero experience. I would like to assure you that this is not a simply communication problem. I have advanced knowledge of Macromedia Flash CS3 - the only reason i joined this course was because i was under the impression that i would be taught by a experience web design professional - therefore i thought i could expand my knowledge and share ideas with a fellow professional. There are many students in my class who are unhappy with this amateur level of teaching but i feel they are afraid to speak up as this NIIT center threatens students in the way that if they complain - they will be expelled from the course. this is unexceptable. WITH WHAT QUALIFICATION CAN U HAVE TO TEACH AT NIIT. COS SOME OF THE TEACHERS ARE STILL IN QUARTER 8 ... THEY DONT EVEN HAV THE DEGREE AND THEY ARE TEACHING
MR SAMUEL CUDJOE IS NT A QUALIFIED FACULTY.. HE SPEAKS VERY VERY VERY AND I MEAN REAL BAD ENGLISH ...AND TEACHES NOTHING AT ALL.. HE GETS TO CLASS 40 MINUTES TO CLOSING TIME .. MEANING 1HR 20MINUTES WASTED... HE SAYS IF YOU TO GET HIS CBT NUGGETS FOR 30GHC U WILL FAIL THE COURSE...AND I GOT THE NUGGETS AND THEY ARE USELESS...WHY ?

Unskilled Teaching
My name is Priyanka Baid, i enrolled for a 3 mnths multimedia course (Photoshop, corel draw and flash). I am shoched and dicouraged by the kind of teaching provided by such unprofessional faculty spoiling the rapot of this renowned intitution. It is to unprofessional to conduct courses with inefficient teachers.
This is the worst experience of my learning ever where ma faculty is either busy on phone calls or is incapable of answering ma questions. On asking my course structure for photoshop, i am told we teach watever you want to learn. I mean how is it possible for a student to start from where ever in between without knowing the basics.
My teacher is so confused and it seems she sits with me trying the tools to build her knowledge and to my surpise she leaves the page so untidy that i have no clue of what she tought rather i guess she opens her own horizon in front of me.
I have been given false hopes by the GM Mr.Saubhik Ghosh and after discussing my problems i was still asked to attend ma class. I was clearly told to make calls whenever i needed to give my feedback but Mr. Ghosh seems to be a busy person. Most of ma calls are not responded. On my last conversation with Mr. Ghosh i was told he would refunded my course fee and for that fact i was asked to send a formal mail on his personal mail id.
Till date there is no response for my mail. I still keep on calling him but instead of taking my call he send me a text saying "Please contact the centre".. On contacting the centre Mr Sumit refused to talk with me regarding this matter and aked me to discuss this matter with the GM.
I guess the names above mentioned are making fake commitments and taking the students for granted.
The only reason to join this course was to learn the software in this three month as i have short of time but the center doesnt not care or value their students.
