[Resolved] Passport office; DIB Burdwan — Police verification for passport incomplete for several months | |||
Dear Sir/madam, I, Sounak Kar, had applied for my passport on 24th May, 2011 (file ref no: CAL-A[protected]; date of birth:[protected]. Since last 4 months the passport status shows "Police Report is incomplete and the case is being examined". There is no response from the DIB inspector of Burdwan or the passport office of Kolkata and their telephone nos[protected]/2545505(R)) are not working. I shall be highly obliged if the case is looked upon as I am in urgent need of the passport. The website of Indian passports (http://passport.gov.in/kolkata.html) clearly mentions "Normally, one should receive the passport in 45-60 days, if the application is complete in all respects and all the relevant documents are enclosed". But its been almost a year since I applied (complete with all documents provided). This is Mujahid Rahaman Mandal, i applied for my passport on 03/07/2013 at kolkata also completed police verification at our police station (thana) my file deposed at our district office burdwan on 04/12/2013 they said as i inquerd there but till i waiting for my passport my file no CA[protected] date of birth 05/02/1976 please help me to get my passport as it is urgent my email [protected]@gmail.com

I already visited the burdwan dib office..but they are telling that they didnt receive any application of mine.but in RPO office of visakhapatnam .they arw showing that the application is been downloaded.
