[Resolved]  Passport Office, Hyderabad — Why passport file was closed when police verification was completed.

Sir,

I applied for passport on 10th Aug, 2009 and my file# is HYDA03745209. Passport file was pending for address proof for almost 18 months, even though i submitting the required documents 4 times in passport office. Finally, police enquiry was done on 29th March, 2011 and the report was sent to passport office on 11th April 2011.

i was shocked when i received a letter dated 21st march, 2011 from passport office stating "FILE CLOSED, APPLY FOR A FRESH PASSPORT". I do not understand HOW CAN THE FILE BE CLOSED WHEN THE FILE STATUS WAS SHOWING PENDING POLICE REPORT(I was regularly checking online status from 15th March to 29th march, 2011 and it was showing as "Pending police report") AND POLICE ENQUIRY WAS COMPLETED?????

Because of this, I lost many onsite opportunity and mental peace which can never be compensated.
I want someone to look into this seriously and issue my passport immediately.
