Public sector — Information about running of train (3026) could not be available from Singrauli Station on 21 st January 2009..

There is no regular system of getting information from Singrauli Rly. Station about running of different trains from that station. Northern Coalfields Limited has arranged to keep a telephone there. This telephone remains unattended in the time necessity. More over there is a P&T Telephone connection to the station. This telephone also remains unattended at the appropriate time. On 21.01.2009, a friend of mine Shri T. Roy travelled in AC- 2nd Class from Singrauli To Howrah. He tried to contact the station by the telephone Nos. NCL- 6655 and P&t- 267077 ( STD Code- 07805). But none had shown the courtesy to inform him about the running of Bhopal- Howrah Exp. (3026). Train actually reached Singrauli Station by 2 hours late ( after 23.00 hrs instead of scheduled time 21.00 hrs.). He had to wait in that cold night for two unnecessary hours leaving his accommodation provided by NCL. this kind of harassment could be avoided if Rail Ways administration showed minimum sense care and courtesy to the passengers.
