[Resolved]  Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. — change of consumer name and enhancement of load in consumption bills

I alongwith my wife purchased house no. 407-D B. R. S. Nagar,. Ludhiana, from one Shri Jagjit Singh through a registered Sale deed in the yar 1998. An electricity connecton vide A/C no. W-51-AN240747F was lying installed in the said House and since then I am the beneficiary of the said connection and charges are being paid regularly. The Sanctioned load was 6.32. However, some three years back, I applied for further enhancement of load to 12.9 KV, Three Phase and also made a written request for Change of owner's name in the record of electricity board. The officials of board, reluctantly changed the meter from single phase to three phase in October, 2009, when the matter was taken to Court, but till date the Board has not changed the name of owner of house and has also not entered in their record the enhanced load. I have made a number of representations to the Board and even to their Chief Engineer, Consumer Care, at Head office of PSEB/PSPCL, at Patiala, but till date nothing concreat has been done by the board officials and I am still receiving the consumption charges bill in the name of Shri Jagjit Singh with connected load as 6,32, The Chief Engineer, Consumer Care, PSEB, Patiala had directed the Executive Engineer concerned, but he has failed to take any action. It appears that the main intention of the board is to collect charges from the consumers for effective change of name and the enhancement of load, but they are not in a mood to provide proper services to the customers. There main contention is that I am not going to suffer any loss if the name o[censored]ser and enhancement of load is not mentioned in the bills. The official forget that in case any checking is made by the Enforcement wing of the board, they shall raise a claim for excess use of electricity than the sanctioned load and shall also be charging penalty and other arrrears for the period `GOD KNOWS'. It is earnestly requested that the matter should be looked into and necessary corrections in the records be made by the Board at the earliest. In case any harassment is caused to me for inaction of the board's officials, then they shall be responsible for all the consequences. SHIV MOHAN GULATI, 407-D, B. R. S. NAGAR, LUDHIANA.
