Dear Sir/Madam, Last month one person had promised my brother that he will change the name in Ration card and asked advanced 5000/- to do this work and, now he dealey the work and now since last two week he kept his mobile switch off his name is Mr. Ghadi and his mobile no. I am a house owner and would like to remove my brother's name from my ration card as he is no longer living with me. When I went to submit the relevant form however, I was told that it was necessary for my brother to be present and consent to the removal of his name or it would not be possible to do so. I do not understand why my brother's consent is required when the house belongs to me and it should my decision whether his name should continue to be on my ration card.
I was told this was to protect the interest of my brother. Shouldn't the house owner's interest be priority? What do I do if my brother refuses to accompany me to the office to give his consent for the same?
