During the launch of the Sahara City Homes nation-wide, it was promised in their advertisements and pamphlets that the flats booked in their projects would be delivered by March, 2007. Leave alone the delivery of the flats, we are yet to know whether the projects has commenced yet even after delay of three years from the scheduled delivery period. During these three years, I am in constant touch with their local representative at Chennai Branch office to know the status and progress of the projects. Every time I was given a stipulated answer that they are waiting for some government clearances which are expected any moments. Once they get the clearances, the project will commence immediately.

As the projects has been unprecedently delayed to commence in reality, I am sceptical about the vague answers of their local representatives and worried about the money invested in the project, would wish file a complaint and request you to get answers of following questions directly from the company:

a) What is the actual status of their project in Bangalore?
b) What is the actual status of their project in Chennai?
c) As mentioned by their representatives that the company is waiting for some government clearances, which are the clearances have they obtained for Chennai and Bangalore projects respectively.
d) Which are the clearances yet to get from respective authorities of Chennai and Bangalore projects?
e) Organise a site visit to see the construction activities at your sites at Bangalore and Chennai.

As their are hundreds of suferers like me,I would request you to please accept my request as an complain against the company whose address is being given below :

Dear Mr.Ramesh,
I share with you the same experience from Sahara City Homes Coimbatore Project. I had booked a flat on the first phase of construction and am scheduled to receive the flat in November 2011. On visual inspection last month, the completion looks very far from hand over. The management is of the opinion that they are awaiting an approval from the local municipality body. According to yet another customer, this has been their answer for more than 8 months. Unable to bear the pressure and irregular terms & conditions, I cancelled the booking. But they are yet to pay me my money back.
Please keep posted on this forum if you receive any updates or refund on your booking cancellation. How much have they promised to refund?
I booked the flat in Kolkata in 2005. They haven't stated the project yet and giving the same stupid reason. I am planning to take the money out. They should return the money with interest. If someone in Kolkata or any other place can give the phone# or email, I can contact with him and can make a group to do a group effort. You can send a mail to ma at [protected]@hotmail.com
I booked a independent villa in Sahara city homes Coimbatore in January 2008 even before launch. they are supposed to hand over this September 2011.they said they will hand over in February 2012.last December 2010 I inspected and now since last 6 months the construction status is same.no reply to any mails.we have to send lot of mails even to get receipts for payments. construction of house itself takes a very long time and the amenities they promised sure will not come or may come after 2 decades. All the other projects which came in the same time completed and handed over already.I am under total pressure If anyone
booked in Sahara from Coimbatore, please keep in touch with me.my email [protected]@gmail.com

Even i booked the same on seeing the advt given by sahara on 2003 with Amitabh bachaan and aishwarya as their share holders and promising that they would deliver it on 2011 september for my 2BHK till now they were saying they need to get an approval from the local body. Recently when i visited sahara they organised for a site visit but really after seeing that one i thought i had done a blunder mistake in investing my money in sahara. Not even 40% completed but they got 90% of the money from LIC(Financial institution). Really this is worst on sahara part. Hope government should intervene and solve this issue as soon as possible. Recently this issue was broadcasted in Sun TV. Really am depressed on this issue. Friends dont book it in sahara henceforth. I have started the cancellation process yesterday.
