MR. SANTOS HORSFORD
EMPLOYEE SOURCING COORDINATOR.
This is a scam. All Shell or Halliburton employess have the company's email address, for example Santos.[protected]@shell.com or Santos.[protected]@halliburton.com. No such thing as shellgasproject.tk and whatnot.
I received nearly identical correspondence from "ring leader" Richard Smith, referencing not Santos Horford but Santos Horsefield.
They have refined their documentation and changed the addresses but it's the same scam. I'd love to have five minutes with these . It is a very elaborate scam and they are preying on those o[censored]s who really can't afford to be side tracked from our search for legitimate work.

Below is a copy of my of the potential job letter, the application letter and finally the offer letter; (Each letter has a HALLIBURTON Logo in the header)

TOTAL
I received the same employment from agreement from Halliburton Oil services UK. And I must admit that I was truly taken in by these people. their relocation consultant actually called me a several occasions. I questioned the part where you're asked to pay 735 GBP for the British Metropolitan Police can check to see if you have a criminal record, before they issue you a work permit. 735 GBP is in all reality 1200.00 USD. I can't think of any country that would charge that amount of money for a work permit.
The one thing that further helped me is that I received an email from a very good friend that let me know that this really was a scam.
The only thing that I would like to know is, that isn't there anyone from Halliburton or the UK, that people such as myself can write and notify them what is being perpetrated in their name.

[INSTRUCTIONS: Give brief answers to all the under listed questions]
QUESTIONS ANSWER SPACE
1) How much does your last job resemble the one you are applying for? Completely corresponds
2) How do you approach a technical problem? Give an example. Persistence is the main thing in the decision of any problem. Persistence opens borders and gives great potential

3)..How long do you think it would be, before you will make a significant contribution to the team/company? Not once I have made big and very important contribution since the first moment of work
4) Briefly describe a technical project that you found challenging or rewarding? In any project there is a place positive and a negative side, but revealing both, leads to the best result. For example incompetent intervention of partners in the project causes my discontent. On the other hand the uniform idea causes my admiration. The most important in my opinion not to hold in itself the emotions.
5) Give an example of a situation in which you worked under deadline pressure? In such situation I work in an extreme mode, superfluous thoughts and emotions disappear. There is small an excitement which inherently helps with purpose achievement, but after such situation, I am satisfied much more
6) Have you ever been in a situation where you found yourself without the specific technical knowledge to perform a task essential to your project? What did you do? From such situations, my experience is great and fields of activity have increased. I always rejected myself from programming, but persistence and importance of the project has helped to receive skill and I have finished work. Was also such situation, that I wished to present work even better and have spent very difficult work in the graphic editor "3D max"unfamiliar to me at that time. Basically I love all new and interesting
7) This organisation is different from your current employer. How do you think you will fit in and why? As well as your organisation differs from all others as also I differ from all others and as an individual I can supplement only. It is the nature law
8) What is the worst situation you have faced outside work? There is nothing more worst than loss of close and native people. And in general there is no such situation which I recollect without a smile
9) What area of your skills do you want to improve? I wish to improve all spheres of activity. It is infinite process
10) What can we (SHELL GAS (LPG) UK) offer that your previous company cannot offer? Level of projects, Quality of a working environment, trip to UK

11) Give me a specific occasion in which you conformed to a policy with which you did not agree? I do not find an example
12) Would it be a problem for you to relocate to UK? It would be happiness

13) Why are you leaving your job? At present I do not work in the organization

14) Which is more important to you, the job itself or your salary? the job itself

15) Give me a specific example of a time when a co-worker or classmate criticized your work in front of others. How did you respond? How has that event shaped the way you communicate with others? I had such situations and I found validity to deny the undesirable criticism. But it was not the destroying mechanism in the relation with other people because my relations with people always at other level where positive always more
16) What is the biggest mistake you've made? Did not listen to itself

17) Give me an example of a time you had to persuade other people to take action. Were you successful? Not always, but it is frequent. Especially when I prevail certain skills, I set an example and I call others for action even when something seems unreal

18) Describe a time when you put your needs aside to help a co-worker or classmate understand a task. How did you assist him or her? What was the result
It was from the very first classes of school, I always like to help to understand, that I understand

19) What specific goals have you established for your career? To be improved, develop in all spheres of creativity, to achieve world level

20) What do you expect to be doing in five years? To reach popularity

SINCERELY,
Mr. ADAM SMITH
EMPLOYMENT COORDINATOR,
SHELL GAS (LPG) UK
I'm located in the U.S.A. and have traded several e-mails with a company that is calling itself "News Engineering Limited UK, " but with a very similar street address to those noted above -- that is, M3 Commerce Park, Markham Lane, Duckmanton, Chesterfield (S44 5HS), U.K. Their most recent e-mail to me included an "employment agreement" which is virtually identical in wording to all those posted above. Because I was skeptical from the beginning, I only provided minimal personal details up to this point -- in other words, NOT my actual residential address, nor the company names of my previous employers, just a description of the type of businesses. Nonetheless I received a "job offer" for GBP15, 600 per month as a project manager. This is an outrageously high salary for this kind of position, clearly a red flag. The letter, dated 13 September 2010, was signed by Santos Horsefield, and a Google search of that name is what led me to this site! The company IS listed in the U.K. companies register, but this government Web site does not show an address, unfortunately.

The only thing that kept me engaged was my confusion as to how these people expected to cash in on this scam. At first I thought it involved identity theft, which is why I was so careful about not giving out too much of my personal data. But now I see it's simply a twist on the old Nigerian 419 advance fee scam, where they will eventually ask me to send them funds to cover "visa fee and background check." They haven't asked for any money yet, however. Since the contract calls for paying the first month's salary up front, maybe I'll ask them to wire it to me before I agree to paying any so-called fees.
