On 26.12.08 I booked one 30gm local letter by Speedpost at Kadma Post Office (Jamshedpur-831005, Jharkhand). Though the rate laid down is Rs 12, I was charged Rs 25. When I protested to the counter clerk, he claimed that the rate was automatically decided by the computer and he could not do anything about it. When I asked for the complaint book, the Postmaster did not give it to me.
The ref. no. of my Speedpost registration is SP EEB78220964IN.
The matter needs to be investigated at the earliest as hundreds of customers are being similarly overcharged by Jamshedpur-831005 P.O.
