[Resolved] State Bank of India — No reply for mail, call to customer care | |
I have registered for LIC payment by SBI credit card. I got a SMS on 09.01.08 saying that, my bill payment will be done on 10.01.08. i got customer care to stop payment as i earlier by cash to LIC, but cusotmer care guy told me that, it was paid on 08.01.08 itself (Rs. 8491/-) So i got one day late SMS. Then i dropped the check to SBI, even though i was in tough situation financially that time. Unfortunately i could not write the date in the check. I got check bounce letter from SBI after a week. Again dropped one more check. So the amount got credited just a 4 days late than the due date. For that Rs. 1000/- penalty given by SBI in next month statement. I called customer care so many times regarding this issue, they did not reduce the penalty amount. I sent many mails also to sbi. but no reply. Just a week back i have given a complaint also, then customer care replied that SBI will come back in 4 days. but no calls. I could not get the tax exemption also for that LIC payment this year since the LIC transferred 2008 amount to 2009. I faced lot of problems as well as my tax exemption has also gone. Now the amount i have to pay SBI is Rs. 6026. I want close the issue anyway. Pls let me know how best you can reduce the penalty. Pls call me as soon as possible, P.K. Krishnakumar ph.
