[Resolved]  State Bank of India — cheating

I received a call from sbi credit card saying that i have become a privilage member for which i will get a welcome kit (with a watch, domestic ticket,holiday package) for 6000+ Rs.I agreed to receive to their deal.same day again i received call from sbi credit cards after some hours ,that time i felt the deal is not fair and requested to cancel , but they said it cannot be cancelled then and they said it can be cancelled after receiving the packet.I did not receive any welcome kit but it was been billed in my statement.so again i called up and after several follow ups i came to know they have dispatched to old address,then i went and collected from there.I was upset with the gift pack,watch was not good,flight ticket/hotel booking have several conditions where i am given only base charges free.i understood it will be waste for me,so i called sbi cc back and requested to cancell.they are refusing to cancell. please help me out in this matter.

i[censored] want to b healthy in ur life please do not ever take any credit card..!!! what drives me to say this, , ? I'm a doctor n made a mistake to take this special credit card for doctor by SBI...!,

it began with sending a wrong card, after breaking my head over, i got that corrected. everything with card was ok for few month.

suddenly they stop sending me a bills, after enquiring with them they told me that henceforth it will be send only on my email account, after fighting-out with them that they can not do that without my consent and as i was not really internet savi then, thing were reversed

but it was short lived joy for me and after couple of month they again stop sending me the bills..! here i took decision to cancel the card and as per the SBI norms paid my dues and got my receipt of payments.

as per their commitment they were to send me a settlement certificate till date it has not come., but in the meantime they harress me for end number of times for the dues god knows which..? recently i got a demand notice from their from legal cell with very indecent language for the amount rs.12223.11

when i called them for clarification ms. Anita spoke to me on phone, after giving her all the details which i have preserved for more than 4 years, she promise to get back to me with the concern official its been one week no one contacted me.

i want to teach them a lesson but the only catch ... that i don't have enough time as i 'm a busy practitioner. my card no is [protected]. settlement cheque no.893638, bank of India, dated-7.6.2004 for rs.6100/- temporary cash receipt no.2013002. mr.gavate was a collector.

SBI Credit Card — Fake credit card (Agent demand to pay balance amount without receiving any credit card with us)

Dear Sir,
My mother named Smt.Shakuntala Devi have been filled an application form to obtain a SBI Credit card in the beginning of the year of 2004, by through the agent namely Mr.Akash Singh, Mobile No.[protected], Senior Executive, Payment assistance, SBI, First floor, Awtar Building, Road No.2, Gurudwara Basti, Bistupur-831001, but we have received neither any credit card nor any subsequent date to recieved the same.
Now in the month of June 2008, we came to know from office agent namely Mr.Akash Singh, to pay the balance amount about Rs.Twenty thousand, on the basis of issued SBI card, which is wrongly interrupted by office agent.From the date of filling an application form till date we have not recieved any type of credit card.
Mr.Akash Singh from day to day threatening us over our residence telephone and used to visit our home two to three times a month, for the due amount.
There is no questuion of the balance payment amount instead of on credit card.As else nothing question of balance payment amount.
It is therefore request to you that a proper verification should be verified which would become the truth the subject matter.
If any further information you need in detailed to solve our problem please let me know.

Dear Sir,

I am (very sadly), SBI CARD credit card holder (CC No.: [protected]) since the past 5 years.

I have not received any statement from your side nor any SMS from your side since 24 th April 2008 till today 25 th July 2008, and all of a sudden today I get an SMS from your company that some amount is due on your card which you needs to be cleared.

When I called your customer care this morning, they told me that this is a late payment fees and Interest charges on my card for the payment which I have already cleared on 27 th April 2008.

When I have made my earlier payment of Rs.10350/-, I have made it clear from your phone banking officer that this is the final payment (as there were some late fees involved) and here after “there is no dues balance on this card” and your Phone Banking Officer has agreed that this is final balance dues on my card.

All of a sudden today you have generated some statement and asking me to pay the Rs.1528.83.

When I called up customer care and told them that “I am ready to pay this amount, but please confirm that this is the final payments and hereafter there is no any dues balance afterwards”. But your phone banking officer Ms. Ritu is not willing to cooperate and not ready to confirm that this is the final amount. I feel that this is clear CHEATING as after three months you may again generate some false statement and try to swindle me for my money.

Is this is the only way remaining to keep State Bank Credit Card Department alive?

Please get somebody who has some sense left to reply and tell me the EXACT amount which I can pay and finally get rid of your card.

I WANT TO CANCEL THIS CARD PLEASE CONFIRM IN REPLY MAIL THAT YOU ARE CANCELIING THIS CARD AND HEREAFTER NO FALSE STATEMENTS WILL BE GENERATED ON THIS CARD.

I hope you will cooperate with me to get rid of this Card.

i have an sbi card holder card no.[protected] that after cearing my settlement by your company agent that the seetlement will be that on the payment of rs.10500 which i gave him a cheque on[protected] my a/c will be fully settled and after that all the balance will be shown will be credited to your a/c and i take it from the settlement letter and also the receipt of cheque no.579956 of rs.10500 dated[protected]. but your agent cheated us and after passing the cheque the balance debited amount will not be credited to our a/cand after that the statements were sent to my home regularly and i call it to the customer care centre very times but it doesnot response me further. so sir please closed my sbi card a/c and also clear the amount which you are debited to my card a/c. if you don, t do this i will go to the court for legal proceedings against your company.
The Consumers Legal Protection Forum (CLPF) has filed a Rs 54,990/- damages suit against the SBI Credit Cards and Payment Assistant Unit of Gurgaon, Harayana for allegedly cheating a customer of mobile handset. The case was filed in the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Kamrup, Guwahati under Case No. 129 of 2009. The Consumers Legal Protection Forum chief co-ordinator Advocate Ajay Hazarika and Forum's member Advocate Subhas Mohan Sarma filed this case in District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Kamrup,Guwahati. The SBI Credit Cards and Payment Assistant Unit had given two poor quality mobile phone handsets to Atul Chandra Das, Guwahati under its Priceless Scheme. The handsets became out of order but the company refused to act on the complaint from the customer. The court has issued a show-cause notice to the company and fixed the date for the next hearing . The Consumers Legal Protection Forum (CLPF)provided free legal aid to such like victims since 2008. CLPF also filed numbers of cases against this private company in Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum of the state.

last month i got call from the Sbi credit card customer care center. They gave me one Encash offer.
In this offer they said 12 EmI 9% interest. GST on interest. So i chooses 25000 offer for that they said 500 processing fee, 2270 Emi +GST tax. But after i got cheque for the 25000 ,but they immediately debited 2270 for EMI and 87 for GST and Total Interest of 2500. I'm totally un aware of 2500 amount. They cheated me . It was never told about that, even i get 3 verification call for confirmation .Even no one informed about that.It's totally wrong .
