SBT is one of the most cunning and unscrupulous banks in india The top-executive cadre and the leaders of the various trade unions of the bank have been looting the bank for years.With their cooperation SBT has managed to hide almost all their in-house frauds and crimes from the public eye.For example, the recent frauds at its Pathanamthitta and Shanghumukhom branches[to the tune of crcres] have been adeptly made to escape public, governmental or judicial notice, with the dubious help of the media, especially the Malayala Manorama, whose family and associates have been enjoying numerous unjustifiable benefits from the SBT for years! For the last two decades it has been publishing thoroughly false balance sheets which are products of sheer manipulations, a la the erstwhile Satyam group.They are also misusing even the State Govt funds also to suit their ill-motives, mainly by delaying release of funds for developmental activities, which even includes scholarships to students!Through loans to the Press Sector SBT has managed to silence the local Media too.SBT's massive campaign against the proposed merger with the State Bank of India originated mainly from its fear of a most probable exposure of these hideous crimes and frauds!
