[Resolved]  Tata Indigo Dicor — Repeating complaint!

Indigo is a Problematic car from one month of Purchasing, Problem was Jerking, I ve mentioned this to Service center and after doing routine R&D they have solve the Proble after two oths with New Problem of Ignitio light on is started, ow Everybody in the Tata Kows that there is Problem i my car but obody is interested in attending the car.

On 23rd Feb 2010 when I developed gear shifting/ clutch problem in my car KA-04-MF-5336. I was at JSS circle (Jayanagar). I immediately called up the help line of Concorde Motors on the number mentioned on the sticker on the wind shield. I explained to the helpline person that all of a sudden, as the vehicle was in running condition, I was unable to shift the gear.
He told me that probably some spring would have got cut and he advised me to try to put in 3rd gear and take the vehicle to Concorde Motors. He is advising even without even seeing what exactly is the problem. However, I took his advice, and tried to put in 3rd gear and drive the vehicle, but car failed to move forward. I again called him to explain my difficulty. He told us that his coming there would be of no purpose and advised us to tow the vehicle to Concorde Motors. We asked him to arrange for towing facility. He told us his company does not have towing facility and we need to call an outside agency. I asked him to give a reference since being in middle of the road where could I search for towing facility number. Finally he gave no. of a private towing facility. I called him up and asked for his charges. Would you believe it - He demanded Rs.2000/- for towing the car to a distance of just about 10 kms- A whopping Rs.200/- per Km towing charges - This is nothing but Concorde motors is taking full advantage of a person in distress.-. Finally, we requested a friends car and towed the vehicle ourselves after purchasing a coir rope costing Rs.60/- from nearby market. After reaching Concorde – Mysore road, I explained the difficulty we faced with the help line to Mr.Praveen of Concorde motors. He just kept quiet and then tried to sell a new product from Tata- 24*7 help service for Rs.550/- . I feel Concorde should change the name – “Help Line” to “Loot Line”.
After reaching Concorde – the Job card was prepared and I was told that they shall inform me the problem the next day after opening the clutch assembly. The next day, on 24th, I did not receive any call. So, I called up myself and spoke to Supervisor – Mr.Veeresh. He informed me that the clutch plate had worn out and had to be replaced. Since it was only 15000 kms since the last clutch plate was replaced and would have to be paid. I asked him to give in writing as to reason for the clutch wearing out so soon before replacing the part. He told me that he is unable to give the letter as his manager, Mr Praveen, is out of town and only his manager could decide on this. On 25th, again, I waited for a call from Concorde, but there was no call. I called up Mr.Veeresh and told him to tell MR. Praveen to contact me. But there was no call from his side. Finally, I called up Mr.Praveen and asked him if the letter explaining the status of clutch and the reason for wearing out clutch plate within a span of just 15000 Kms is ready. He told me – where is the issue now when I am getting it replaced under warranty. I told him to go ahead with a replacement in that case nevertheless the letter asked for should be given.
In the evening about 4.00 of clock, one Mr. Surinder( I think he is the head of the service station) call me tells me to settle the matter. He has offered share 50% of the cost of replacement of clutch assembly. I do not know what happened to the warrnty replacement assurance given by Mr.Praveen in the afternoon.
However, I have told Mr.Surinder and Praven to give me there proposal in writing and I shall take the decision thereafter. Now, I am awating a letter from there side.
