The Hindu — Misrepresentation of Information

Address:Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh
Website:www.thehindu.com

Dear Sir,
Such a reputed daily with more than 100 years history seems to be favouring some Institute. Today on 2nd May 2011 in Education Plus, you have given an item mentioning "GITAM Devlops Super Computer". I dont think they have developed. Rather they have procured from CDAC or some other organization. To my knowledge, even IITs did not develop any super computer. I feel this is admission time and this type of boosted messages will convey wrong signals to prosperous graduate students about Institute. I demand an apology for the wrong representation.

GITAM University established a world class data center, this was already visited by central IT officials and planning to establish a software developing center within the campus. ok
Hello All,
The article which is given in EENADU gave me feeling that CATS technologies has developed and GITAM has procured. THus, I referred as mis-interfpretation of information. Later, I understand CATS technologies is embodiement of GITAM itself headed by Dr Battina V Rao. Now, I understand and accept that GITAM has developed the mentioned super computer. I apoplozize for my action.

Mr. Venkateswarlu,

Please know that the center for advanced technology solutions (CATS) is a department within GITAM University and all it's projects are funded by the University. How can such an acquisition be made without gathering appropriate information as to how and when the Super Computer was made at GITAM University.

If you are a person with a background in Computer Science with decent knowledge, you should be able to assemble a Super Computer. If you are not, you should not be allowed to make such comments anyways. It i[censored]nfortunate that you are able to make such comments in the first place and how in the world do you except Hindu newspaper to apologize to you ?

And also, please use vocabulary that is appropriate for the internet. Words such as "mis-interfpretation", "apoplozize" confuse readers as this is not a part of standard english grammar. Learn to use spell check available in any of the microsoft suites. Hope this serves as a lesson to people like you who have nothing better to do other than launch personal attacks on other sucessful people or institutions.

Hello Sir,

It is possible to create super computer mr vekateswarulu. Why did you think like that? By using public domains and using clusters we can make it. But with out knowing any information, how can u make such type of comment as a "Professor". Such a big university you are under estimating with established news papers also.

Plzzzzz never & ever don't comment others, if you are not sure!!!

Very delayed delivery
Sir,
I have been a subscriber of the News Paper The Hindu for the past 40 years. The News paper is being delivered to me only after 8.20 AM. daily since March 2011. The agent is one Thiru K.S. Ravi MGR Nagar, Near Vinayagarkoil, Ponmalaipatty, Trichy4. Even after repeated instructions he has not taken any effort to deliver the paper early. All the family members are employed and would move out by 8.00 AM. In this regard I have made repeated complaints over phone to the Circulation wing of the Trichy office. For the complaint made to the circulation wing the sub-agent who delivers the paper says that he is getting the papers only after 7.00AM and hence, the delay in delivery and that he further says that even if you make any number of complaints it would only be a waste and I would deliver paper between 8 To 8.30 AM only. I am very well aware that the news paper is being made available in the news stands around 5 AM itself. I request you to please make arrangements to ensure the delivery of the News Paper before 7 AM..
Thanking you,
Baskaran,
