[Resolved]  Ticket Booking — change of itinerary

I had booked a tkt from Delhi to Chennnai by 6E281 for 4th May[protected] hrs) on 26 Feb 2013. PNR is YWW3LQ. Today I spoke to your Customer care to prepone the itinerary to 29th April 2013. The lady at the Customer care has postponed to 29th May 2013 instead of 29th April 2013. When I opened the net to check for payment I found that a new PNR No. WR18PQ was given for 29th May 2013 instead of 29th April 2013. I have not paid for that amount as the date itself was wrong. I again contacted the Customer care for this mistake and I was told that I would have to pay the fare difference in addition to two cancellation charges for changing the date to 29th April 2013. I was taken aback as the mistake was from your end and I should not suffer unnecessarily for no fault of mine. They then told me that they would check the recording and find out if the mistake was mine or the customer care rep. Then I insisted on a number be given to me as a reference on which they have given me a ref. No.FR18DW.

I feel very sorry about this incident as I have been flying very frequently in Indigo air and did not expect to pay so heavily for a simple preponement. I would like a reply in this regard and if for some reason there needs to be a change in the system of customer care handling as regards preponement and postponement, please do a R&D on this issue as people like me are likely to suffer embarrassment and unnecessary payment for simple procedures.

Probably a way out would have been that the customer care rep. could have told me that please do the change booking on the net and pay the fare difference + cancellation charges of Rs.1000/-. In that case any mistake would solely be mine and I would be wholly responsible for the mistake.

Ticket Booking — Close this site if you don't want the customers to buy ticket through this site

If you don't want the customers to buy tickets through IRCTC then whats the use of this site....99% of time this site is down..It's very clear that you are being bribed heavily by Yatra, cleartrip, makemytrip etc..so why you are fooling common people...at least close this site so that people don't waste their time trying to book tickets through this site...HAVE SOME SHAME!!! Fear to GOD for God's Sake
