[Resolved]  Times Of India — newspaper not yet received

Sorry to inform you( Times of India) that till now I hav not yet received my newspaper. I already informed you earlier I'll be in need of the newspaper from 15 March. I made a call to the customer care too. kindly refund my money back or send the newspaper which ever is convenient. My Subscription Id no NAD 030750 in the name of Mr. Ramesh Bohra.
Kindly do the needful.

Dear Gentlemen
I am Francis Ambrose residing at Chrompet and a reader of your newspaper since it was launched in Chennai. I have taken the yearly subscription since the first year.

I bring to your notice the fraud and cheating exercised by your agent / paper boy / Times of India Representative in Chrompet

It was on 09.01.2010, your So called and claimed Direct employee of Times of India came with an request to renew the Subscription for the yearly. After checking with your local times of India office at 2431 7979, I paid the subscription to him with a complaint that previous years, the service rendeered by the agents were improper and as a employee of Times of India, he should take corrective action to which he promised. He collected the subscription money of nearly 300 rupees and issue d me the receipt without any serial numer but which was carrying a logo serial number NAC 078608. For the last year my subscription no was NAA 105599 and the yearly book with 12 coupons were issued. But, this time, I was not issued a yearly book with 12 coupons. When I insisted, your TOI employee C.V. VARADHAVANGAN carrying Mobile NO. [protected] told me bluntly that there is no monthly coupon given this time and that TOI stopped it. I happened to check with Landline no. 2431 7979 who answered that it is not there. I was really surprised how TOI could adapt to such method without any information to the subscribers and withdraw the monthly coupon and insist upon yearly subscription. With regard to this, I sent a letter to your office for which no action was taken.

Further to state that in this three months from february, nearly 15 days paper has not been distributed. Also, every day news paper will come invariably between 7 to 8 only. Every time, when I insist upon the same, Your TOI man will not answer and I had to literally follow up with the paper boy who will give every fancy answer for not putting. I had to undergo all this cheating method adopted by your agent / paper boy and TOI employee at chrompet. Further, since yesterday no paper has been distributed and when i insisted upon the same to the paper boy kamesh at [protected], he sarcastically remarked that he can not put and that he has got instruction from the agent. When I tried your TOI employee at [protected], he also did not respond. I did tell the news paper boy that if he fails to put the paper today, which is a repeated occasion, I have to lodge a civil complaint for cheating and fraud being exercised to which he dared to do. I also sent a sms to the concerned paper boy and TOI representative

"PAPER NOT RECIEVED FOR LAST TWO DAYS. SO FAR NEARLY 15 DAYS IN THE LAST THREE MONTHS. DESPITE TO U, NO ACTION AND YOUR PAPER BOY CLAIMS THAT HE CAN NOT PUT. IF YOU DONT TAKE ACTION AND ENSURE SUPPLY IMMEDIATELY, I WILL LODGE A COMPLAINT FOR CHEATING. RESPOND IMMEDIATELY."

Hence, as a last resort, I am bringing to the management of TOI at Chennai to suitably iniiate action against your agent / paper boy / TOI local employee at chrompet, for

a) Not servicing the subscriber regularly

b) Showing disrespect and giving very lethargic answer to the subscriber when complained about the delay and absence of service

c) Not giving me the monthly coupon which is supposed to be given

d) Using audacious language to the subscriber.

I expect a suitable reply from your end immediately and restoring of services and an apology from the concerned for not fulfilling the services regularly / cheating me by not doing the services properly and regularly.

I expect a confirmation of action being taken by you in this regard immediately. I desire that things will not be allowed to precipitate to enable me to seek justice suitably.Further also, if any nuisance is commited by your these persons for taking up the complaint, I have to take a suitable remedial civil action also to safeguard me and my family.

Dear Gentlemen
Further to my mail sent at 9.32, I had once again tried your TOI employee C.V. VARADHAVANGAN carrying Mobile NO. [protected] and he came on the line. During the conversation, he had told that he would return the money, to which I told him that it is not purview of deciding so and asked him the reason, who has instructed the paper boy not to deliver the papers to my residence, to which he was not answering and kept on avoiding the issue.

To him also, I had indicated that, as a employee of TOI, he is tarnishing the image of the organization and the newspaper and as such, he has to be responsible for any further actions which I may take, if he does not co opearate and service. It is his not purivew that he can decide to continue to service or with draw the service, for I have not paid the money on individual name and but only on TIMES OF INDIA and as such he has no locus standi to withdraw the service, which once again an audacious reply and impropietory action by the so called employee.

I wish and desire that this issue to be resolved immediately within 24 hours of receipt of this complaint so that no individual employee / agent / paper boy can decide the course of service to an subscriber. It is all the more serious that they are trying to cover up some misdoing which they have been doing and resorting to this month.

Once again, I suggest that the issue may be resolved and further also, if any nuisance is commited by your these three persons for taking up / escallating the complaint I have to take a suitable remedial civil action also to safeguard me and my family.
