[Resolved]  Tresmode (Footwear) — Below average quality and irresponsible customer service

Dear Sir,

This is with reference to my visit to TRESMODE – High Street Phoenix on the 4th of June 2009. I had visited the store to get my pair of Fame-39-brown shoes exchanged.
The exchange service was not provided to me stating that nothing could be done from the store and the complain has to be forwarded to the manufacturer itself.
I had worn the shoes only once for two hours, and the heel broke as well as the shoes tore. There was no sign of durability reflected in the pair.
Also, I had given the pair for repair or exchange on the 4th of April 2009, and neither of it took place in the entire span of two months.
After paying a decent amount for the footwear, it only lasted for two hours.
I asked for an exchange and this is what they replied...

The preliminary investigation has the following details :

The particular pair has been purchased during the “season end” sale period on 4th of February. The pair has been given in the stores on 4th of April, 2009.

We would like to inform that all the products of the brand are fashion products and like every big brand in the world at the end of the Fashion season (6 months) the excess pairs are put on sale. Naturally, the products are minimum 6 months old which could go upto 12 months old. As you are aware, all the materials which go into the product will have a specified shelf life. As the products are getting old and the life gets shortened, all the brands will liquidate the products by giving discounts. (Primarily, the loss of shelf life is compensated through the discounts.) As a matter of fact, at the time of sale it is clearly mentioned that there cannot be an exchange or warrantee on the discounted product.

We however, do exchange when there are some manufacturing defects as this is not shelf life deterioration but due to some technical reasons there could be failure in the product.

In the present case, our stores has received the product, sent it to the workshop where the Heel tips have been replaced with a new set and has returned to the stores. The stores has record of calling you on two occasions and informing you about the status of product with a request that it can be picked up.

We regret that the pair cannot be exchanged in the above context.

I would not be accepting this after paying a good amount.
The company has no concern towards maintaining its reputation in the market.This gives rise to the downfall of the company because if they cannot satisfy and retain customers, they can never have a secured business.
Since I have already paid the required amount, I need a replacement of the pair of shoes.

I am completely schocked at this as i am a big fan of tresmode shoes... if this has happened this is a good eye opener.
i completely agree with ms shalinis complaint,
i too had a simalr experience
i bought a bag a couple of months ago from the tresmode store at phoenix mills
i agree it was bought during the sale period. frnakly that should not make a diffrence to the quality of the product. i cannot understand how a reputed brand like tresmode can provide bad quality and yet not take any responsibility.
the metal ring for the strap has a spring, so the strap can be detachable. the spring broke in one use of the bag so i went to the store to get it done. i agree the store manager took on the responsibility very efficiently even though it was a sale product ...but... replaced only one buckle although the other side one was nearly broken too.
he assured me when i collected the bag on saturday 3rd april, that nothing would happen to the new nor the old buckle. i used the bad for the first time again today, and the ring broke

Tresmode has came up with a new price range in all central mall in mumbai. The quality and the services they are giving is so poor, u can't trust on so reputed brand. The offers they are giving buy more pay less is so irretiable.
you guys have sense of of responsibility thaty a big brnd store should have. i have been purchasing shoes from tresmode for a long time now. lately the finishing has been below average. al the more, the quality is pathetic. when you claim yourself as "THE BIG BRAND' and all that jazz, yous should also live up to it. the shoes that i buy, they cause a lot of blisters and bad shoes bites. you may be a big brand but you can take consumers for granted!!! this is atrocious!
I have faced the same problem. I purchased the shoe in Oct'09 and hardly have used for 3 months. It costed me around 3000 for a pair. Its surprise to see such a bad responce. The shoes at the lcoal foot path are better than this..what the hek they are charging for ...Don;t Don't even think to buy from this fraud shop...
II had a similar problem..and I am not surprised..buyers please be careful..they give a very poor after sales service...if you are lucky you will get a good piece and would let for sometime...but if you are not then you are up for some serious trouble...got a pair from there and I noticed that the leather he started peeling only after a month..must have been a manufacturing defect..or extremely poor quality...don't ever buy from there..anyweys now there are much better brands available...
The heel tips wear out crazy fast and they have a metal peice inside which prevents it from being replace. A huge waste of money
