[Resolved] Unitech Uniworld City (Capella Phase 1) — Non Starter project | |
Hello, I’m writing this email hoping someone in Unitech is still listening to customers. On November 2007, I‘ve decided to book 2BHK 1450 Sq Ft flat in your Uniworld City (Capella phase 1) project. I have not realized that in return for that, I’ll get nothing more than sheer frustration, anxiety and added financial burden and insecurity. It started with countless sleepless nights calling your customer support to find out the status of the project but till date I’ve not received a single convincing answer. This project is scheduled to deliver in June 2010. Unitech has collected 70% of the cost despite this, not a single brick has been laid on this project. We have invested in this project in peak time. Property prices went south in 2008~09 and we already lost lot of money; however, we could be satisfied i[censored]nitech had kept its promise and is planning to deliver the project on time with committed specifications. I’m hearing from different sources that Unitech is planning to restructure the project and looking for value propositions etc as is offered to Unitech Grande customers. Communication is the key; however, Unitech management never bothered to communicate or assure their customers. We have created a group for Capella owners. i am also a victim of this . i have paid 95 % of the money upfront and nothing is happening there. i am planning to lodge a case in consumer forum. if you and others want to join hand then you are welcome. write to me on my mail id [protected]@ymail.com
Not buying any more flats from Unitech and bringing the fraud o[censored]nitech to public notice might act as a check for arbitrary methods employed by Unitech to loot people who want to become rich overnite.
Also guys don't be in a hurry for quick buck (by booking a flat and selling it in 2-3 months for quick profit)...
The era of quick bucks is over now...people have made money in the past ...but it doesn't look so in future...

We have also purchased one property at Capella and eventually sufferring with the same due to latches and negligence from the Unitech authority.
We started proceeding against the UNITECH authority in the competent State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi.
Lets hope for the best with the judicial system of our country.

Don't worry a company to such a big repute will not let you down, I had similar issues and what I did was I went there personally and inquired stuffs and realized that projects were first delayed because of recession and then unfortunately system went down that's the reason that the delay is, don't worry we all will be compensated for the delay.
By what I know, construction of Capella has started and is on track.Unitech is the second largest real estate developer in India and has a repute to protect. I am sure it will not let its customers down and will try to deliver the project on time.
I completely agree with your complaint and, I don't think Unitech is in situation, to deliver this project by June 2010, as you already stated that not even single brick has been kept on construction site.
Unitech has taken more than 80% cost of property from their investor, I booked this property in April 2007 with the hope that down the time I will get good return from this property, but till now they collected huge installment from the their customer.
there is no proper communication from Unitech people, I don't know how we will get the possession of my property my property by June 2010.
